I feel it’s been a lot more stable than I expected with all the changes. Best dev beta 1 in years - maybe ever. I wish they had a light tint option for app icons with a white background.
Are you using this on your main device? I’m thinking about updating but worried about the the bugs
@@DaminM28 i use it on my main iphone 12 and it works fine apart from the ui bugs and some other things he talked about in the video
I'm using it on my main driver, the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Really better and more stable than previous betas. Enjoying the fresh change from the same old ui.

One thing I’m missing from the photos app is the recent album, that’s the only way I ever used to view my photos
It’s there but you have to dig in and configure it
you have to sort it in the bottom left the up and down arrows
You can sort and put that to the front
It’s still there. Swipe around Photos app. Things changed but everything is still there.

I actually swapped to my 15 pro for this beta. My 13 mini was WAY more buggy and I couldn't get my journal app to work on 13 mini :(

I love how the icon colors can be changed, but only for the stock ones. I hope it works for others at final release because if not they might as well have not have even done it.
I’m still learning to navigate around the Photos app as well. I’ve noticed a few bugs here and there, but the main one that disturbs me is the fact that, in order for me to use auto text feature, the other person has to have an iPhone. I don’t like that, iPhone or android that feature should still work. Any and everything else I can work with.
Any has issues with the AirPods connection when receiving a call?
mine has had some issues with battery. also getting on snapchat it will randomly stop giving it access to my camera and the option does not even show up in the settings app. then theres my phone randomly shutting down. also it does get hot at times. and general lag across all platforms at random times.

@@Reytrockopen photos. Swipe down a bit, the select button will pop on the top right, you can click on photos one by one or swipe for quick selection.

You can't put it in the middle because the grid is for four icons only. Would be nice if they'd let you realize the icons and make a grid for 5 or 6 apps across. But I think that widget only is two apps wide
After I updated my IPhone 15 Pro to IOS dev beta, my phone been getting hot and it started lagging and resetting the other day so I hope it’s fixed next update. I never had this issue after buying this phone
Like when I’m listening to music it will just switch music on its app while I’m not on the app and it’s annoying

How you fix the weather widget to show the location for your Weather is to open the Weather app and then click the 3 lines bottom right corner then click on current location weather then your widget will show weather.
When I try to use talk to text on safari to search something it makes it crash - super annoying (IPhone 14 Pro)
My battery has been OUTSTANDING on iOS 18 beta 1. The photos app is confusing to me, the screen time notifications aren’t enabled so anytime a shortcuts automation starts on my phone, it notifies me and I can’t disable it. Probably the only annoying thing I can complain about. Oh and sometimes when I move control Center items, a little floating icon stays wherever the icon used to be. Other than that. I really like this update. Actually pretty stable for me on my iPhone 15 base model. I like your phone set up. Great video

Videos doesn’t play from camera reels
I am getting 3.5-4.5 hours with 15 pro max, 100 cycles, 100 % battery health. I disabled app background refresh and location services but still nothing has changed….
I've had the same bugs + the control center and also audio issues. I am very confused to why, but my Audio goes from the normal speakers to the phone call speakers (at the top of the screen) quite often, and now I can rarely calmly enjoy Audio from the phone. Very annoying and very random. Also the heating and battery issues.
For me on iOS and iPadOS 18 apps have been offloading on my iPad and my iPhone
Why not wait for the public beta in July those are typically more usable than dev beta
Battery life does drain more too when you’re just playing around with all the new features all day just using your phone more than normal
I can’t even tap my phone with the iOS 18 beta it’s like frozen on the home screen
Outside of the notifications bug, this beta has been rock solid
Screen time is not working
Wifi id not working on my 14 pro
I only have battery issues on my 15pro Max

i got bug for me. System Data
iOS 17.5.1 8-9gb
iOS 18 same 8-9gb after 1 week. i just shocked up to 32GB WHATTT. i cleared other cache. down to 21GB wtf? and when restart phone. now 18gb?
now my iphone laggy. because System Data randomly Up & Down while use apps.
restart phone then 18gb staying. wont up & down. clear iphone. no lag bruh.
yes expected issues, but overall no major dramas, 15PM only phone lol

@@AndrewClareI've been using it since it came out on my 15 pro and I've had tons of issues, my battery life is terrible, the app locking is broken and just hides the app completely so the only way you can find it is to scroll in the App Library (search is broken) and it won't let me unhide them.
Apple needs to merge the Phone, Contacts, and FaceTime apps in one. So much unnecessary clutter

The only bug I’m having is notification bar problem. Whenever a notification arrive it doesn’t show and I’ve to swipe up to see the notifications and it doesn’t open well I’ve to swipe up several times to have stable notification bar to preview the content

Do you any idea on how I can update my AirPods Pro 2 to the new beta firmware? I have a free Apple developer account but it doesn’t show Developer Mode in privacy and security settings. I don’t own a Mac so Xcode is not an option for me. Any other way?

installed it on my 11 pro big mistake now i had to get a 15 because it completely broke it 😂
One bug I found was a complete crash with the Apple logo looping for some time. I did report it though
I also faced that bug on my iPhone 13, except I did not get the apple logo, just using my phone normally and the screen turns black and there is the grey spinner wheel, after which I am back to the Lock Screen.
I would recommend waiting for the second update for the bug fixes.
Currently using a 14 pro max and here are some bugs I am having:
- Poor battery life.
- Camera does not work. Camera open but a black screen is shown for both front and back camera and snap button does nothing when trying to capture picture.
- Widget customization issues. Unable to edit some widgets.

You would just turn off beta updates.. technically you would already have it
