Still no back button/universal way to go back....
This is the worst thing in iphone i swear. I used iphone only for 5-7 month but i couldn't get used to the fact that you cant swipe back universally or close app by using back button. There were a lot of little things that annoyed me all the time but this one was by far the worst one.
@@ojgfhuebsrnvn2781 This is the first I'm hearing this, never owning one. I can't imagine why they wouldn't have one. Even TV/cable/streaming controllers have a back button.
@@tkps you misunderstood a little bit. Instead of back button you swipe left, however compared to android back button it has limitation to work only within app and not universally.
2 examples:
1) You open settings and browse it, you can come back to main page of settings but then if you swipe back it won't return you to home screen, you need to close settings app using button (basically you have to use central android button)
2) if one app, lets assume "calendar", opens another app "alarm", you cant swipe back to calendar, you need to switch tabs (like tab button on android). So opening links that open apps etc is really annoying
This! The universal back button feature is brilliant on Android, I wish apple will implement into iOS.
So annoying having to tap all over the screen sometimes just to go back.
😂 I can see you guys never used the left side swipe to go to the previous screen, or the super convenient top left button to go to the previous app you were before. The only missing piece is close and app with the back button but you can still go home with a gesture which by the way google copied. It’s kind of absurd all these stuff both platforms been copying each other’s features for over a decade, even Android can’t copy right the face id from Apple

I’m a former Android user (Samsung phones). Switched to the iPhone on the 13 Pro in 2021 and definitely felt like a step backwards in a few areas, but I’m glad to see that it’s getting better. Going to get the 16 Pro when it comes out. Needed iOS for iMessage and Airdrop. Implementing RCS (finally) makes it more tempting to switch back to Android, but I have an Apple Watch and iPad now, so I’m fully in the ecosystem 🤷🏻♂️ so I’m happy to see that they’re becoming more similar all the time
Exactly, competition drives competition. I'm on Galaxy s24 and I'm going iPhone next. I got a macbookpro for my birthday so I want an iPhone for seamless work. I bought my dad the new m2 ipad air and got his old 7th gen ipad. I'd rather have all these devices that work together, honestly.
Ecosystem is what really makes the Apple devices great. And also ease in use. I always bought Android phones just for hype and getting the most fun gadget. F**k no they haven’t. I switched to the 15pro max because everyone had iPhones. I thought it’d be something different and refreshing. I really hate all the little annoyances in day to day use. It’s just not as intuitive as android even after 8 months with the device. If you’re only playing games and using social media it’s fine. Other wise I feel like I jumped back in time 10 years. Can’t wait to switch back soon.
Here’s another example. Why can’t I send a contact card while texting without having to leave messages? I own a business and this is frustrating as hell!
The main reason i go for ios is privacy and security updates. I have now 5 years old iphone and still gets updates. When i was using android, max i used to get updates for 2 yrs.
That's funny. I'm using a six year old Android and can still get the latest update if I choose to. When I had an apple, it only supported maybe three updates before it became obsolete.
That being said, that was fine, since Apple intentionally degraded your phone with each one. Remember that? You would if you're older than 20.
I am still waiting on cat os ver1. Meow edition

KITi is currently updating
KiTi v.2.0 has had some claw-aching bugs recently
Steve Jobs would probably have objected to a lot of these new features. He liked to keep everything simple and intuitive.
I wondered who fought for the Apple Pencil when Job was TOTALLY against ANY FORM OF STYLUS for the iPhone. As for displays, he couldn't fathom why ANYONE would want a screen bigger than 3.5".
Steve Jobs wasn’t the brilliant visionary that people think he was. Employees at Apple spent most of their time desperately trying to convince Steve Jobs what to do. Everything that was successful for Apple was laughed at by Steve Jobs. They had to argue with him and twist his arm in order for him to get on board with most projects. Johnny Ive often expressed frustration how Jobs tended to get all the credit.
Glad I'm cheap and not upgrading my 13 Pro Max.

Roasted apple intelligence
wait so IOS 18 uses a modified version of ChatGPT and they call it Apple intelligence but samsung has made thier AI and to my knowledge it isnt a copy of chatgpt. Could the 3 trillion dollar company not make their own AI?
Samsung is partnered with Google. Google has Gemini, which is trash so far. Apple does things better when they do them, so if Siri works like Chatgpt4o and can actually do things on your device when you ask, I'm sold.
As for "couldn't make their own" they have so much god damn siri data that they can feed to chat GPT, they can get excellent results
@smittyvanjagermanjenson182 "apple does things better when they do them" are you sure about that? Lol. They literally are using chatgpt 4 for siri. Not their own ai, apple didn't make their own ai
Not really. IOS will use its own language model and machine learning for most part, and does it on-device. Some tasks can't be done on device, so will be done by Apple servers. And then there's a category of requests for which ChatGPT is currently the most competent choice, so then it will ask to use ChatGPT. Apple Intelligence is not a modified version of ChatGPT. It's a colaboration between two, and will always favour the usage of Apple Intelligence. Apple has also bought alot of AI tech, so they can use it for their own model now or in the future.
Samsung uses Gemini and has probably made some features on their own too, while most is done in cloud servers for the time being. Which is why it supports more devices.
@@smittyvanjagermanjenson182no
You are mostly correct. This all started when Samsung announced the s24 ultra earlier this year and all the AI stuff that it could do. Apple didn't see that coming and it scared the shit out of them and ever since the s24 was announced and launched all of Apple's "innovation" efforts for the iPhone 16 have have been about AI and pretty much nothing else. At first Apple tried begging Google for access to Gemini but Google said fuck you we're already with Samsung so then Apple ended up partnering up with chat GPT and so now Siri is finally getting some updates after a very long time. And the reason why a $3 trillion company couldn't do this is because Apple is a marketing and selling company, not an innovation company. They have a lot of money for all the wrong reasons and they can't innovate anything until someone else does it first then they make their own version of it and market it as something cool and new when it's not. And sadly millions of people are blindly loyal ignorant tech illiterate moronic sheep and buy the stuff anyway.
they still don't have the back button.

Android>>>iphones 😎
I'm a little shocked that they are only offering this on the pro models for the latest models. This is the type of features that could be implemented on most of their recent phones (like what Google does for their Pixel brand).
Do not bash Gemini , it really excels at wokeness ! - It is vastly superior at sick woke falsification of reality and history. Luckily , Android users can choose between other AI's.
