I noticed a lot of the lyrics on the music player you're using are wrong, thats why it might be confusing Btw: Frank is bisexual and hes talking about like 3 different relationship throughout the album. another fun fact: the album is split in half right in the middle with Nights beatswitch, one half of the album being feminine and the other masculine. In the album cover "Blond" is the masculine version of the word and "Blonde" is the feminine, this album goes a lot deeper but it would be to much for me to explain

So it turns out, the entirety of the album is actually about a girl he met in the song "Nike". The first half of the album until the switch in "Nights" is about him trying to highlight the good and also toxic moments he had with this girl. It's the "justification" era of his relationship with the woman. A lot of drug abuse and sex with this woman giving him the "highest" moments he had with his relationship. This also occurred during summer and autumn. Although the relationship had no foundation in love, Frank constantly tried to reason with his feelings and convince himself (and her) that it could be. He saw things for what they were and believed in his heart that its "more". The good days where the sun was out always fueled Frank Oceans convictions of love with this woman. After the beat switch in "Nights", he reflects on what kind of relationship he had with this woman and that what they had was doing more harm than good. This is a reflection of his "sober" moments. The nights were a sore reminder of how dysfunctional things actually were. He's alot less 'high' in the 2nd half of the album and thats highlighted in the Solo Reprise interlude (which is actually "So Low"). The problem now is that, even though he sees it for what it is, he sees her flaws and how much she undermined the relationship in multiple instances....he's legitimately in love with her now, and even though he tries to bid her farewell, and "justify" why he has to leave, he announces multiple times that he will always love her. This occurred during winter and spring. There are instances in the album where Frank wished that they both grew up in the same neighborhood being given the same advice and experiences cause if so, then the love he had wouldn't have been that quite unrequited. There are instances as well where he would also reflect on how bad of an influence he was on her and partly believes that some of her actions might have been accidentally justified by his own lack of "self control". Blonde is probably the most ageless album ever made. It perfectly captures the dichotomy of the youth pursuing things that are eternal (love) and seeking to be in a state of eternal bliss (nirvana). Less of ideas and more storytelling in Frank Oceans psyche. There are many more reasons of course but this will be and probably already is, the most studied album in history. An album for the youth once they're older. And a reminder that its okay to not have everything figured out at first, as shown in "Futura Free", you eventually will.
