LP is back with a new & fresh sound.

They're definitely a couple in the Over Each Other video. Emily is openly gay. Emily and Chester have very different vocal techniques and that makes some things sound very different. Emily's screams have a much more dynamic onset, they're basically on a slider instead of a switch. They're also cracklier and more "loose". On the other hand, Chester technique was much more even and consistent, had a more "homogeneous" texture. Neither is better or worse, they're just different and have a different feel. One thing her technique brings to the table is that she's able to add _a ton_ of vibrato to her vocals, and her vibrato is just stupidly fast.

Thing is, her vocals are different from Chester. On screams she applies more distortion than chester did... and at times it feels like it doesnt work in the sense that we have a bias about the old songs. We expect them to be sung in a certain way. But we need to understand she isnt Chester and she isnt trying to be Chester. Her clean vocals are amazing. She has an incredible voice. On screams, as i said.. its different and it has everything to do with how she applies distortion. Its a different type of screaming. I think there is an interview with Mike where he talks about the difference.

Over each other takes some listening to get used to of... Cos it's different... First two songs we hear it through the lense of Chester's voice thinking of she fomits in Linkin park sounds, and she does... But this one is all hers...showing her vocal range and showing how she sound by herself... I was actualy disappointed at first listening... But by now I have heard this almost 100 times... It grows on u

Interesting take on her screams at the beginning, I've actually seen a lot of people claim the opposite, how they like how her screams are her own voice, and how it sounds like she sings her screams. I personally don't have the best musical ear, so I won't chime in with my own opinion on this, but I generally really like her screams, even on the old stuff. LIke I think she sounds absolutely stellar on songs like Faint and One Step Closer, definitely some of the more screamy songs. I think what you might be feeling is just the fact that you're not used to hearing her voice on the old songs. Because in my opinion a lot of Chester screams also sound just like screams. They have their own, amazing texture to them for sure, but they don't really give me a "oh, he's singing that scream" feeling (not talking about all his screams, but some of them). I think Emily's screams are the same, except her voice is just not identical to Chester's (how could it be, she's not the same person lol). Maybe not on the studio versions, but on a lot of live recordings for sure. Also, I think she absolutely can sing the old songs with so many emotions. Listen to her sing Waiting For The End, she even cries when singing it (on multiple ocassions). Listen to her "My December" or "Lost" it gives me chills when I hear her sing those. I think her screams on older songs are not completely emotionless either, it's just that they're a different type of emotion that people are not used to on those screams. I'd say that Chester's screams were pain and anger, while Emily's screams are anger and fury (if that makes any sense at all lol)

imo she also puts her own flavour on a lot of original LP songs too. for example the new version of My December where Emily, Mike and Collin (their new drummer) sing together is just beautiful :) there are some good fan recordings of it, but no official proshot yet

Hi. Most smaples of her voice are from their first live introductory show where she was emotianal and nervous AF, so it had big influence on her singing, especially in first half of it. On next 5 tour shows she was already so great and with each show getting better and better. BTW Heavy is the Crown is taken live from their 4th tour show in London (second time she sang this song live) and it sounds even better than official version IMHO. They have that live video on their youtube channel right nex to the song itself.

You should listen to dead sara songs: weatherman, lemon scent and 2 covers: nirvana heart shaped box and ratm killing in the name of. Also LP played live for the first time: keys to the kingdom from the hunting party

Heavy is the crown has a music video on the league of legends channel that was made as an anthem for its 2024 world cup, In Over Each Other, Emily goes out asking for help and they reveal to us at the end that she is dead and the one we have seen is a ghost, that is why they did not pay attention to her.

Always remember, she's not a replacement. She's a new hope for all of us

I'm pretty sure "minutes to midnight" was actually a nod to how Chester felt about himself around that time. His next project being called "Dead By Sunrise" only adds to that sentiment.

16:44 yeah the reason is that todays trash ass mumble rappers can't replicate the flavour of these songs. Where'd you go is the biggest song off of The Rising tied because it is beautiful, relateable, lyrically hitting and the combination of the singer and Mike is in a perfect balance.

You should listen to the Rock & DNB Band Pendulum. I think you will like it. Songs: Witchcraft, Watercolour, The Tempest, Halo, & Come Alive and a litte experimental: 9000 Miles.

You ask like why make this songs from originals, They have hundreds to thousands of unreleased songs i their archives, and each song have ten or more "variety" of it. Practically they could released 10 albums every single year with or without Chester vocal in it. These pops are super productive, way ahead of any band on earth.. or mars.

Watching people react to this album for the first time is one of my favorite things ever tbh. This is my absolute favorite LP album and easily top 3 of all time, and just a very very special album to me that I've always wished I could listen to for the first time. These album reactions are great bc it feels like I get to live vicariously thru the person listening to it and it always makes me smile seeing people be so taken aback by it. Your reactions are so pure and genuine and just made me so happy, channels like yours beat out any of those "review" channels. <3
