    Good video! I have the same problem, always buying stuff that needs a lot of work lol! 88s are a great handy tractor! I agree about the fleet line straight cut gears.. it's a sound you learn to love! Thanks for the video! I look forward to seeing more!

      The whine is kind of soothing, it’s hard not to fall asleep listening to it LOL.

    My father had one of these in the early 50s. I remember I could here the tractor really whining as he came down the lane in road gear.

      TH-cam is dangerous, one video leads to another and before you know it a half hour has passed 🤣

    What’s the 90 degrees lever on the lower left of the dash?

    Just wanted to let you know that I’m really enjoying your videos sir. I just bought 2 White 8900 combine’s any words of wisdom would be appreciated

    • @rosstheoliverman
      @rosstheoliverman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! The 8900’s are good machines. Just take your time servicing and maintaining them and they will do great. Fix things when they look questionable, don’t wait until they fail. Keep common wear parts on hand so you can fix and keep going if there’s a breakdown. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, I don’t mind helping!

      I originally went to look at one a 2 wheel drive and the guy had a 4 wheel drive to. They are both in really good shape and always kept inside. In addition to the combine’s he had bought out all the parts a local dealer had when they went out of business. So I got both machines the heads and more brand new old stock parts that I will ever need (hopefully)

      So far I still haven’t had the time to finish the engine on my 1955. Hopefully I’ll get the head back next week and be able to get it up and going again. Seeing you bailing straw with your 1855 is getting me motivated
