That 88 sure sounds smooth. If that plow has a quick release hitch attach the trip rope with a light piece of twine to the tractor so it easily breaks. People have been injured because a trip rope was too well attached the the tractor seat.
That 88 pulls like it has the M&W 283" kit in it !! We had a 1952 that we repowered with 283" kit....62 certified HP at 540 PTO rpm......70 HP at 485 dyno rpm. Pulled 4-16s all day.
It's really a smooth running 88. My dad got the tractor with a broken cam. I do believe it would have had new pistons and sleeves on the rebuild. He took first place at tractor pull with it that year, and that kicked off the Oliver addiction lol
No doubt right! Figure an 88 and four bottoms. I used to run a 1755 and run out of power on 4 bottoms. Well maybe that plow is 12 inch bottoms??? Still great for an 88
That is one cool old plow.
Wow, that guy can plow!

Yeah I’ve seen bent seat frames too, maybe because of having too strong of a trip rope.

Looks good
My grandpa had 2 Super 88 diesels, reminds me of those
Yeah the Super 88s are very similar to this, nice tractors!
I dream of that kinda soil.

We literally adjusted and talked about this the whole video. Did you watch it past the thumbnail?
