Kurt introduced me to the Kratos at his gym and it is great! Impressed on how compact it is. I could see myself working on my muscular endurance with this as that is something that is very hard to do with single intensity equipment (barbells and cables). Great video Kurt!
@@TheKurtlocker thought the Kbox looked enticing a couple years ago, but this seems like a game-changer. I love the idea of utizling different styles of resistance besides standard weights, cables and bands! Great detailed review, utilizing a protractor and all! Well done sir!
I have both the kBox 4 and kBox go and I am feeling a bit of regret for putting so much into the Exxentric ecosystem because I would much prefer an all-in-one permanent install solution like what you have going on with the Kratos Quest station. It's just so clean and minimal! Thanks for the review.
It is necessary with the L and XL plate. I’m sure I could do a cleaner looking install, but this was my temporary trial install. Now that I know it will live there awhile I’ll do a better job when I redo my floor
Great review! The option without the platform seems great if anyone is short on space. The price also seems very competitive with other fly wheel trainers on the market.
It acts like other flywheel training tools and does pull you back down. This eccentric action is what you resist and makes flywheel training so effective
Your point on value still stands, but FWIW, on the Exxentric side of things, you can get the kPulley Go and an accessory to rack mount it to open up horizontal pulls in their ecosystem. It ends up being about $1000 cheaper than the kPulley Pro system you highlighted. This setup however assumes you have some freespace on an upright to use, but it’s designed to easily take on and off. Still ends up being more expensive to the comparable Kratos setup, but it does close the gap some. I really like my setup but had the Kratos been available at the time, I’m not convinced I would have still went with Exxentric.
I saw that there was the kPulley go but didn’t use it as the comparison because it didn’t best compare to the Quest with the included upright. Exxentric definitely need makes a quality product and I have used their products before, I just prefer the quest and was grateful that it was around when I was looking to expand into flywheel training
You can perform a chest press while sitting incline using something like the Darko longy bar to attach a couple handles. If you wish to lay flat, you can do a unilateral chest press using a single handle but this requires you to move the bench to get right and left hand side
Could you theoretically not bolt to the ground the flywheel without the platform and just put several 45 pound plates on top of so it won’t move? That way it remains portable.

Thanks for watching homie! I also appreciate you coming by and training. It was so cool to meet you back then.
That is a great review. Fly wheel work is smithing I want to try at some point.
Great detailed break down of each section of it.
Thanks for watching. I know a 30 minute video is something of a tall order for most
@@TheKurtlocker I just watch/listen while I am doing my workout.
This is the whey
Incredible review Kurtlocker! You did a great job explaining the product.
Thank you so very much. Probably the best piece of equipment for most gyms looking to get into this space.
Once you said I get to harness the energy I was sold. Great stuff man!
Thanks for giving my review a watch. How much interest did you have in flywheel training before the review?

@MarkPMaguire busted out all the stops.
Finally got a chance to watch this. Good stuff dude. That system looks wild being able to combine both of the kBox pieces into one.
I’m still using it daily in my training and am so grateful to have one
I’d love to try something like this out! Super cool product!! great review and breakdown brother!
Thank you for the view and I truly appreciate the compliment. The Quest is one of my favorites
Great review 🏋♂️ that thing is awesome!
It’s one of my favorite pieces outside the big 4

Follow up question - I noticed you cut away an area of stall mats to make room for clearance on the flywheel - is that necessary with the XL plates?
Thanks for watching. My feelings are similar

Competitive for sure. Which version would you put in your space?
@@TheKurtlocker for my current space, definitely the one with no platform. I’d love to have room for the platform version down the road
@fwiffo42 you would be able to get a platform at a later data! Thanks for watching bro
does this also "sucks" you down when you do belt squat like the kbox? Does this fly wheel momentum feel different then the others?

Got to try one of these at Anand’s Gym and it definitely interesting stimulus with that eccentric pull
It’s wild man. Thanks for watching coach. Which version do you think you’d want?
Great review. Interesting history, I thought it was a Kabuki product. I didn’t know they were just a vendor selling it 😬
Honestly I didn’t either until I started looking further into it. Thanks for checking out the review.

I’m need to buy or make one
You absolutely do. They’re pretty amazing.
How do you do the bench pressing exercises on this?

That wouldn’t work for this model but there are other models it may work for
Dangit Kurt… I had already lost interest in this over the past couple years and you just reignited it 🤦
