Bridge makes such nice equipment. I am not a big fan of the bronze on everything, but I think it is cool that they have a distinct style. Their roller J cup is a beast.
You are super lucky. Kurt you should have shown the rolling j cups. I know you have a video on them but it would have been nice for the rest of the people to see that don’t know about BRIDGE BUILT
Thank you for creating this video. Every piece of equipment is innovative and awesome to look at! Those Bullet Proof weight plates are bad to the bone! I plan to get some.
I’ve heard of Bridge built, but never actually saw their products. As a former resident of the Queen city, I’m definitely going to make my next purchase from them & support my fellow Ohioans. Especially after seeing how the extended pulley attachment looks and works in combination with that quick release platform. I’m amped to use that thing vertically for med ball throws & of course some regular belt squats too. Great vid and if you’ve got any referral codes or anything, drop it in there because this video made me a believer of these products.
I ordered their phoenix flat bench and I was THIS close to getting the adjustable bench. If this video existed beforehand I would have bought it. Oh well. Next purchase 😂
They’re a little more than some other other made in USA products for use but IMO are actually competitive when viewed holistically. The bulletproof plates are what cost the most. If you were to buy one thing, what would you get?
Haven"t watched this yet, but, I'm guessing this video is not going to help me "not buy" Bridge's combo roller j hooks ;)Thanks for your work as always @TheKurtlocker
Bahahahaha. We actually missed presenting them because they were holding the bar we were about to train with on the rack! Awesome J cups though. 10/10, would do again
He looks like Regan Grimes (professional bodybuilder) just not as big! I do like those Bullet Proof plates, is the diameter similar to the X-master/Kensui chrome plates? I wanted a step up as well for pull-ups but I bought the KLO-step from Oak Club but it was very pricey for a step up but I like it a lot. I hope in the future he starts adapting something similar to a functional-trainer selectorized machine like my Ares 2.0. Something more functional than plated loaded pulley systems. I understand it's expensive to manufacture but thinking in the future. Nice review Kurt.
A pair of 10bs. plates $300???? no wonder I haven't seen any of these around... very unique equipment and the prices are reasonable except for the plates.
Bridge-built has nice stuff but their prices are ridiculous. If a household that makes just under $400K a year does a double take when pricing out your gear then you may want to re-assess your strategy. For example, I just put the finishing touch on a $30,000 home gym upgrade by purchasing about $3,000 of beautiful, brand new, chrome handled weights, an equivalent set of bridgebuilts would’ve cost literally 3 times as much. $9k for a set of weights? C’mon! I guess their target customers are the ultra-wealthy and maybe ultra high end health clubs or other ultra high end institutions. I mean, I understand the appeal of niche aspirational brands in industries like automotive, but when it comes to weight sets it the marginal return on pride of ownership is questionable at best. And aspirational automotive and even clothing brands are revered, for the most part, because they are literally used by individuals competing or performing at the highest levels of their respective industries. Not just because they are unique and expensive. Bridge built weights can’t even be used in competition. I don’t get it.
That’s an awesome upgrade to your space. Truly awesome to be in that position. I looked up the prices on the rest of the equipment they offer and although on the higher end of the scale, they are in a range that I would call competitive with comparable companies (made in USA with customization) perhaps the bullet proof plates are expensive but I also fail to see handled weights. Curious on how you got your numbers. Thanks for watching. Share your space if possible on Instagram! I’d love to see it
I wonder if folks like you will ever let it go. A single hashtag that was admittedly made in poor taste and apologized for, yet no forgiveness bestowed.
@TheKurtlocker I wonder if you truly believe he didn't mean what he said, whereas it seems clear to me he didn't like the response it got, so he apologized. "I'm sorry you got mad at me." Plenty of other companies to buy from, he should stand for whatever he wants, and I'll feel free to not buy from them. To be clear: I'm not asking you to weigh in or give your opinion on the above. That would be unfair. I'm just wondering aloud. (Edit to add: "Made by our people instead of foreigners who hate us." Some people probably vibe with that, I just don't.)
I believe Patryk’s original intent was simply to emphasize that his products are made in the USA. Unfortunately, some individuals misinterpreted his statement and, instead of affording him any grace, turned it into something it was not. Internet arguments rarely lead to resolution, and those who refuse to accept genuine apologies are, in my opinion, a waste of time. Having seen Patryk in various situations-both personally and through firsthand accounts-I can confidently say he is absolutely not racist. While his initial argument may not have aged well, the way people have treated individuals like Jason from Surplus and Patryk from Bridge is one of the main reasons I stepped away from the home gym Discord. The cyberbullying and spread of misinformation in that forum have been appalling and utterly unacceptable. At this point, I genuinely believe apologies to Jason and Patryk (and others) are long overdue. Four years is enough. It’s time to move on.
@@TheKurtlocker You think Patryk's apology means he didn't mean what he said. I think Patryk's apology was because he didn't like the backlash to what he believed. Sorry I got caught, sorry you got offended, you know the deal. I think it's convenient to forget about who you're buying from, but it's capitalism, we all vote with our dollar. There are a lot of companies making great gear who don't seem to share those beliefs, so I'd rather keep it in mind and buy from them. "It's time to move on" maybe for you 🤷🏼♂️
what facts are you basing your assessment off of? Do you think that instead of extending grace, you are assuming the worst case? Is this accurate or productive? Wither way, keep on keeping for the algorithm
What graphic would you put into your dream BulletProof Plate set?
The Carp’s Gym Logo
@carps_gym that would be wild to see. Because it’s plate shaped I’d be curious to see how creative they could get wit it
Love this and would like to see more tours of these smaller made in USA companies
I’d love to do more. Hopefully I get more opportunities.
@@TheKurtlocker would be cool to see a similar kind of video at surplus 👍🏽
Agreed. Gotta get down to Nashville
I've got the Phoenix power rack and the folding bench. BridgeBuilt is an awesome company and is making great equipment.
Couldn’t agree more! The phoenix is an amazing piece
Love all the attachments
The Omni pulley system is my favorite. What’s yours?
@@TheKurtlockertbh, probably the squat stand attachment.. Lots of uses and connect ability with said pulleys etc.
Solid answer. Thanks for checking in!

Bronze is not for all but definitely their style. I do love my BFJs
A big BEEFY thank you for coming by, brother! We had a blast! 💪🏾🛠️
I’m just pleased to have had the opportunity. It’s awesome having a company like BridgeBuilt a short drive down the road
You are super lucky. Kurt you should have shown the rolling j cups. I know you have a video on them but it would have been nice for the rest of the people to see that don’t know about BRIDGE BUILT
the holes in the rack for carabiners is genius
It is. Everything has its place and function. A well thought out detail
Awesome video! Very cool to learn about the level of detail in this company
Patryk is definitely up there as far as details and prioritizing custom touches
Awesome tour, loved that belt squat platform! Love when you get to tour a smaller company, like this and Stray Dog a few years back.
I’ll need to redo a stray dog tour sometime. I’d also like to do surplus strength and black widow
@@TheKurtlocker Have you thought about Mike Bartos Power Center tour? You may need a bigger truck 🤣
Bahahahaha. I already own so much MBPC but that is an excellent idea for sure. Maybe Mike can murder me with a deadlift session.
Thank you for creating this video.

They really are. Love all the innovate, never replicate pieces

I don’t have any codes but I appreciate supporting local. Thanks for watching!
This is so awesome! What an amazing collaboration?!
I enjoyed the lift and the time. A day well spent
Rolling the rack through the intense crowd at the Arnold was definitely an experience!
It was fun to see for sure. Tons of awesome looks
“Innovate never replicate” is an awesome ethos. The Phoenix rack is so BA. Love the tour.
Agreed! My kiddos love the young buck stuff
I love these types of videos 🏋️♂️
I like them a lot as well and hope to do more
their stuff is freakin nice!
It really is. Super nice
Pat I need that stepper for my wife and kid to get to the pull up bar.
They’ll be available in January! 💪🏾🛠️
Great stuff. I'm emailing them now to find out about some dumbbell storage options, thanks.
I want to upgrade mine as well. An awesome concept
I’ve never even heard of this brand. They look awesome
Be sure to check out their site. Thanks for watching!
Their stuff is top notch
Awesome run through
It was a ton of stuff! Worth the time for sure
Cool.. the plate station that I bought from them just arrived yesterday.
Truck yea!!
I ordered their phoenix flat bench and I was THIS close to getting the adjustable bench. If this video existed beforehand I would have bought it. Oh well. Next purchase 😂
I really want one now as well after using it in our quick gym session
I love what bridge built has done. They have amazing products.
But to build my dream gym with bridge built, I would have to sell my house haha.
They’re a little more than some other other made in USA products for use but IMO are actually competitive when viewed holistically. The bulletproof plates are what cost the most. If you were to buy one thing, what would you get?
@ if I could get one thing I would get a set of OD green bullet proof plates.
Big Kurt, The Locker!
Big bad coach carp!!!

Love the look of those bullet proof plates, just a bit out of budget 😅
For me as well although a small set may be a mid-life crisis splurge
I think this is the first time I’ve heard of a bronze barbell. What are the advantages as opposed to bare steel, stainless steel etc?
It’s a zinc coating. The corrosion prevention is better than bare steel and the color just looks unique and amazing.

The bulletproof plates are pricey for sure but unlike anything else I’ve ever seen.
Another company in Ohio? Rogue, Bandbell, EliteFTS, Bridgebuilt… who else is in Ohio? It’s like the strength mecca 😂
This “midwestern” state sure does bring the heat
