The guardian weaponry are very effective I took one down five minutes includes jumping in and scanning i’m going to upload it once I get home it only took me down to 93% by the time I took it down
You honestly wouldn't want to do this unless you just haven't done the unlock for guardian weapons. The new weapons are INFINITELY stronger than the old AX weapons. Gauss Cannons >>>>Plasma Chargers>AX MC=AX Missiles
Looks like this video is little outdated, as you mentioned that Gauss cannons and Plasma chargers come only on 1 sizes. As at least this time theres 2 sizes for Gauss cannons, medium and small. And Plasma Chargers are available in all 3 sizes. Latter has even turreted variants available. Gausses come only as fixed.
CMDR PLATER, Is it worth unlocking the weapons at all. The grind just seems to long for these weapons... I thought about making a build using my Conda but now I'm not so sure.
They are great fun to use and really satisfying when you get a hit with the gauss cannons, it really is down to personal preference, but I am glad I unlocked them when I did.
I agree with Plater, just unlock them, don't make it a grind out of it, just unlock 1 every now and then, no rush, plenty of Thargoids out there to kill ;) you will be satisfied!
Just unlocked the guardian plasma charger (turreted) today! When I was about to change out the large multi-cannon on my Corvette, I realized they were only class 2 weapons so I also did the ultimate cringe when... Class 2 weapon on a class 3 hardpoint!!!!
Because I am GREAT at this game! But it's not a problem, I'll just sell the class 2 burst lasers for plasma chargers and put a class 3 burst laser on the class 3 hardpoint. No worries.
What do you need to do to unlock these weapons. How many shot DOES IT TAKE .TO BRING THE THAR DOWN. To many . This is the main problem, TIME SINK. 4 to 5 hearts . 3 plus mins of firing for one heart. Human shield and ships take damage way too much . FDev never learn. Boring
Uhm actually, for quite some time the Thargoids have been very fun content to take out, even before the Guardian weapons. That isn't a time sink. That is an actually good fight. Kinda like a 30 minute PvP battle isn't a time sink ... its a fight. Also, your estimate of hearts and time required is not very accurate. Might I suggest you go out and take on some Thargoids first, then decide if the content is fun? Cuz I can tell ya, its FUN!

You are not forced to play it dude, just skip it and play something else. Adam has a valid point to your comment. I got a life and job as well, still managed to get some Thargoids kills in my busy schedule and if I have some repair costs big deal!
Just to add a little on ... a friend and I went winging up to hunt thargoids last weekend. Took us less than 5 minutes to kill each one. Longest part was finding them :D I'm talking Cyclopes of course. If it is taking you an hour to bring down a Cyclopes ... maybe it just feels like it takes too long? Heck, if you take THAT much time, the thargoid goes into "enrage" mode and is significantly harder to kill anyway. Regardless, I wouldn't call a solid fight a "time sink." Grinding guardian ruins for a million blueprints to unlock weapons? THAT is a time sink. Killing thargoids is FUN. Ship repair does indeed cost money. I never said killing thargoids was lucrative. You probably lose as much as you gain. But it is fun content at least!

Ye man you should do it, it is totally worth it. Spend less then 2 hours collecting the mats at any of the Guardian structures and you good to go :)

I've notice that T Interceptors take damage from these guardian weps where ever you shoot them, is it true ?
Love the detail in the explosions and weapons discharge, looks totally amazing, so the AX weapons were a complete waste of time then?!
So what do you recommend? Plasmas for hull and gauss for heart? Or does gauss makes the plasmas redundant?

How do you equip more than 4 experimental weapons? It won't let me take my plasma chargers along with 2 gauss canons and flak

They are exactly as they used to be. No different. The Plasma Chargers are MUUUUUUCH better. And the Gauss Cannons are MUUUUUUUUUUUCH better still!

the point is the worst of all ships agility of type10. The 7 turreted plasma chargers? well ... look's like space grade nitro express to hell!

why not inform yourself first and read description of the turreted variant , it's also said that will work if a "gunner" is onboard .
