I use to think supercharger but when i asked 2 state troopers on the 2 accounts i unwillingly rode with them, they said it had a hemi. and that was the dodge chargers.

Dillon Turner They both have the newer 4th Gen Camaro headlights. Which means one of the bumpers/lights is modified or one of them has a lt1 engine swap
look at the guy in the supercharged ls1, when they say that's who it is, then look when they line up at the other guy in the other camaro, different guy. the ls1 is the camera car. plus idk about you, but i can tell the different in just the sound between a ls motor and an lt1.

Take the GARBAGE rims of the LS1 and the outcome would change......you would have had him if you rode on 17-18" instead.

18" rim has a higher profile tire than a 20" and with rubber on it's the same size as a 20" with low profile tires is, otherwise cars with 17-19" rims would never fit custom 20"+ wheels.
There is no larger roll area, they have the same diameter, just a difference in rubber to tire alloy ratio.
Get some knowledge before posting straight BS here, it's the high profile rubber that gives grip not a stiff 22" rim with a tiny strip of rubber on it, that would be the reason behind dragsters/race cars using nothing but huge rubber with a small rim as their tires.....
g00dl00kinb0i Never said that the wheel profile should remain the same to get more top end.. Bigger wheel + bigger tire = More top end Speed. If you change the wheel and tire to keep OEM roll radius nothing changes..
Also you seem confused.. We are not talking about Grip here.. Bigger Roll Radius = More Top End Speed.. Go back to school and listen to your physics teacher this time.
skirmich It never stays the same when changing rim size, that's my point exactly, except maybe if you go up only 1" and keep the same profile rubber then you might go faster, by like 3-4mph, why even waste time on that.....
Bigger rims come with low profiles and small rims with high profile tires, that's it.
No one puts high profile tires on 20"+ and making the car have higher top end speed, so your argument makes about that much sense.......the bigger the rim the smaller the rubber will always be, period.
g00dl00kinb0i smaller tire diameter = better acceleration.... and then you have to consider the tire + wheel's rotating mass. The less rotating mass accelerates more quickly and the smaller diameter accelerates more quickly.... larger diameter does make for higher top speed but acceleration was the point here. larger wheels don't always handle better either because of the unsprung weight. Heavier wheels are less nimble because the up the unsprung weight. 17" small side wall handle better than 22" smaller side wall.
Why would anyone take off an LT1 front end and replace it with an LS1 front end? The LT1 Camaro is 100 times better looking than the S.

The difference in front ends is a matter of taste. If I ever get around to putting a LS in place of my LT1 in my 96 Z28, I might swap the front end as well. I like the LS front better. If you don't like it, so what. Ultimately, it's my car and I'll do with it whatever I want. I'm the one who has to be happy with what is sitting in my garage, not you.
That said, I'm not putting 24"s on it or making it a 4x4 on 44"s because that's not what I want. If someone else does it... Have Fun.

LS1 has more power but the LT1 will always sound better, and the LT1 front end looks why better with the square headlights, I cannot not stand the big ass bug eyes on the LS1s and I'm a Camaro fanatic. That's my only downfall to them!!

I had the Same vortech v9-g blower. Best et was 11.41 @ 127mph spinning. Ls6 heads 224r cam full exhaust. 9" rear end.

I normally avoid bigger rims. Due to there wight and are much more costly, for far less effective Drag radials. Example I had 18 in c6 z06 wheels on my Supercharged Trans AM . With BFG Draig Radials . at the time the only 1 made in the size i could use. It ran 12.3 best. Change to factory ws6 wheels with MT ET streets. runs 11.90 all day now . Big rims are for show not go. To me go is much more important .
Because I own that 3kgt, I also own a 1972 Nova SS with a 572ci big block, blown, alc injected, a 2005 Dodge Dakota with the 4.7L V8 Magnum, with all forged internals and a kenne bell supercharger, making over 600hp, and a few other built vehicles with V8's in them. In fact, I love V8's more than any other engine on the planet, but I am well-rounded with V6's, I'm OK with 4 cyl. engines (although I hate working on them)--- but, I've never worked on a V10-- I know people who have.

Im thinking of supercharging my 01 SS but im probably only gonna run on 8 lbs and im not gonna tear down the motor to put in forged parts for quite a while.
