Hey Mike, Could you do a tutorial on how to assign different sounds to keys and pads on the same midi controller? I just got a Novation launchkey mini mk II and I can't figure that out at all. I really love the way you explain stuff and I hope you make a video on that !! Thank you!
First time I write to someone on TH-cam. Just wanted to wish you the best because I think YOU guys deserve it! I almost watched all your videos, and, as a Professional in the Entertainment industry for years, I thinks you guys bring good advise to everyone. Again I whish you the best. All my gratitude to you guys.
Laurent Paret Thank you, Brad and I appreciate that! We really do want to help and I think that with music becoming more and more accessible to all, it helps to have a good community to help new comers and professionals alike. I think the support in our small community is awesome. All the best to you too my friend 😃
Thanks mate, I really appreciate your work. Your explanation is really to the point and very concise. I got all my stuff about two months ago and it just ended up gathering dust in some corner because none of the tutorials really explained things too well and your videos have got me back on track. Really appreciate every bit of your work and thanks once again.
@3:02 Send Master Sync sends MIDI clock signals to External synths and controllers so they'll be at the same tempo and on beat. You should be able to use your play/pause buttons at any time.

Whatever video you do is worth watching because of how well you explain things. I wonder if you use ipads or iphones. There is so much you can do with ios devices alone or with windows or Mac OS. Once you get it, you will flip at how much it gives you. Just check out how many incredible synths are available and how cheap they are with no relative loss of quality sound.
There are quite a few videos for making music with iphones. It would be cool to have more using ipads with laptops. There are interfaces that make it easier. I use an iConnectAudio4+. It has a port for a computer and another for ipad. The routing is incredibly flexible and with a powered usb hub you can connect a ton of midi devices. And it is affordable. I think it's the best purchase I ever made.

You did a good job explaining everything in this video! Is there any way to setup the drum pads with drums in each channel in Fl Studio? For instance if you have a kick in channel 1 and a snare on channel 2..... Can link pad 1 with channel 1 and pad 2 with channel 2?

But setting up a keyboard controller for individual projects might not be the most intuitive thing to do as a beginner. Thanks for the video, straight forward. I also hope more Controller manufactures considering implementing firmware upgrade ability,so that they can push updates and new features to simplify and also give more longevity to their equipment. And I wish more beginner equipment was compatible with FL Studio, since I feel that still really popular and affordable for beginners. Everything Is pretty much compatible with Ableton, and I think specially beginners shouldn't be pushed towards using a DAW they might not even be that familiar with.

Hey nice vid I have a lil problem. I’ve set permanent links on the mixer to my midi (8 sliders controlling the volume of 8 tracks in the mixer) , so when I use the mixer window I just use my midi to turn the volume up and down. The problem is when I unfocus the mixer window (like leave the window and open something like piano roll) the sliders on my midi no longer work, seems they only work when I’m focused on the mixer window. That feels extremely arbitrary because the whole point of linking it to midi was so I can control the volume despite having to specifically open the mixer, is there a way around this? Thanks

I am using a Sequential Prophet Rev2 Synth as my current controller but I also ordered the AKAI Professional Fire (Controller Only) - USB MIDI Controller for FL Studio with 64 pad RGB Clip / Drum Pad Matrix. Not having a clue what I am doing and just starting this hobby, what is the first thing I should do when this arrives? Can I even use two controllers simultaneously or should I just use the Fire from now on? Thanks.
Very smooth and not speed talking😂 thanks
Thank you so much, i have 8 pads in my controller but it doesnt matter now because i seted up everything. Id love to see a tutorial of performance mode in the future cause its confusing for me, LOVE U
