still mad the glee writers robbed us of actually seeing their relationship develop and grow but instead decided shelby fucking puck would be more interesting
the whole sleeping with puck storyline was trash. I didn't mind Quinn and Puck meeting Beth. The sleeping storyline could have been discarded and used for Shelby and Rachel's mother-daughter relationship.
I love this scene because it shows no matter who raised you you will always have a connection to your birth mother Rachel instantly knew Shelby was her mother just by hearing Shelby's voice and seeing her passion and how she walks slowly down to her all while staring at Shelby with awe wonder and admiration
Lady she did hear her voice before but it’s not just her voice she recognizes it’s the way she talked and the passion she showed in her performance it’s just like Rachel’s
This was filmed so brilliantly. I remember seeing this when it aired in 2010 and I had chills the whole time. That shot of Rachel watching in awe from the audience is just pure movie magic.
Great acting by Lea. I always thought she wasn't a good actress in Glee because no one praised her for it. Now I realize she's just tremendously underappreciated.
Can we just talk about the little kick up at “sense of humor” mimicking the original Broadway poster?! Icon. My very favorite performance on Glee. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The fact that Lea Michele and Idina Menzel aren't actually related is insane. Seriously, Lea looks so much like Idina, and their voices are extremely similar.
she totally hasn't lost her voice in the slightest!! look at videos of her on her 2017 world tour, in particular Defying Gravity (she still sings it amazingly even though its been over 10 years since Wicked), Seasons of Love where she hits that high C and Don't Rain on my Parade/The way we were :) Literally look at any video of Idina over the past few years and you'll see that her voice hasn't gone at all.
First time I saw Idina was in rent her voice blew me away. Then she did the voice of Elsa n played Shelby on Glee I will watch her in anything her voice is amazing
Its amazing how people in this world find someone who totally look like them with no blood relatives whatsoever. I mean i thought that lea was actually related to idina bcs of this character lol Psstt try to close your eyes and imagine elsa frozen singing lol

I’ve listen to this song like 1 million times but I don’t know what it is maybe it’s because of where I am in my life or something but like the song just makes me wanna smile especially the way that she sings it and yeah
I wish they included the scene right before this where she is trying to teach her students the importance of theatricality. This is a master class on the subject. Sometimes subtlety is the key to a great performance.
I was just watching this on Netflix yesterday. I can't believe i missed out on this show in my high school days! Almost done with Season 1 and it'll be gone from Netflix next month. I barely started watching this past summer. Anyway, Idina knows how to sing the classics
@@salemsalem1440 Yes, I remember that he said something about how he didn't like how Dianna had played Quinn or something. Sleeping with Puck is fucked up when you realise that not only is he quinn ex he's also Rachel's
They really did look like mother and daughter
Kat Lu 's AMV I know right Ryan did a great job casting these two beautiful and talented women as mother and daughter
and Katelyn Jenner too?
Don’t forget to mention Obama! His nose is pretty similar so maybe 12.4 percent related
Omg when I first saw Rachel I instantaneously remembered of Menzel
They look alike I love Shelby and Rachel
I love the look in Lea's eyes in this amazement apprehension and love
she's an incredible actress
the gameing wolf g ikr its like she had no doubt that was her mommy
Me too I LOVE that so much!!!
Idina has the most beautiful voice. I want to cry every time. Incredible
She should duet with either Mariah Carey or Celine Dion
I know I fell in love with her voice in Rent.. She's an amazing talent
Quinn is so precious “get BACK here”
I cannot believe i have never heard Idina sing before. Thst is the smoothest, most amazing voice. Wow. It has brightened my day no end.

She'd also heard her voice earlier on a recording so...she recognized it....

Most underrated glee cover of all time
For any theatre/movie buffs, has anyone noticed how the stage is set exactly the same as this songs ending shot for Barbra Streisand's Funny Girl?
Merryn Cuff k
Haven’t seen the movie yet. I’m a musical theatre nerd
And she signing directly from the score from the film.

I've only seen the movie twice yet and have not figured it out until now
At 0:57 she sounds exactly like Lea it's crazy

The first time i heard Idina sing was the Wicked OBC recording.
Idina is a goddess!
one of the best scenes in the entire show.
Idina has an amazing presence and the character insertions are perfect, just like you want from a Broadway superstar. What a stunning voice.
Quinn at 1:08 “get BACK here!” 😂
