I have a 86 fox with a 302, aluminum heads, roller rockers, lunati cam, 650 carb, long tube headers. Car set up to run nos in a wet system but I’ve never sprayed it. I want to use a 100shot only and tips you have for me I would really appreciate oh and the nos is in a button not WOT
Definitely agree. A racing gear would be dog shit for him if he street drives the thing. But that's what quick changes are for, idk his budget though. 😂
Well it’s a 1:1 5th, and they are 4.10s. On the motor I shift at 6k, on the spray I shift 5600, I crossed the stripe at 6150 on this pass. Nothing wrong with the gearing
Do you short shift nitrous cars? It seemed like 2,3 and 4 were quite early in the rpms compared to revs in 5th. Is it better to just get through the gears ASAP and let the nitrous do it's work in 5th? Just curious never driven a nitrous car.
On the motor I shift it 6000-6100, it’s still pulling at that rpm. On this pass the light was 5500-5600. I short shift on the nitrous. You don’t want to over rev a nitrous motor, or hit the rev limiter powershifting between gears if you don’t have some kind of cut off switch.
@@boss_racing If it helps any, it's great seeing incar and out of car shots. Personally, like the early days of Cleetus McFarland for example he was always chasing that lower number and he gave enough commentary for us to know his goals and then see him achieve them, its exciting for us as viewers almost as much as it is for you, when you set a goal for your car and finally reach it. Looks like you got 10s in the bag so obviously you'll be heading for 9s but take us with you on the journey. What changes you making, did that change work or was it a total flop. That's what I enjoy most on the car channels anyhow. You got the car, all you gotta do is find a way to take us on the journey with you.
That seemed a little extra spicy haha. Could you help me with a question. I have a 351 cleveland swapped fox and I was wondering if you had part numbers for radiator hoses? Love the cleveland car !
This was actually a slightly slower run, the car sounded different than previous videos because I’m running open headers with an extension as opposed to full exhaust with mufflers, and the track was slick. As far as rad hoses I made some custom ones for the Cleveland car as it has a smaller rad than stock and an external oil pump which is belt driven. Just bought a few hoses and some steel u bends that had a snug fit and started piecing them together
@@boss_racing it definitely sounds like a beast for sure. Thank you for the hose comment. I haven't found anything that seems to fit right especially with my elec water pump. It will be cool to see how the windsor runs on a sticky track

how was the nitrous setup with the manual trans, wot microswitch? did you have a clutch switch also?
Just a microswitch on the carb no clutch switch.

Hello great video what rpm are you launching? And stock 8.8 with 4.11 c-clips 4lug? curious, I have similar setup.
This setup is 31 spline spool with 5 lug. Rpms are around 5k launch
That little 302 was moving what type of nitrous tune do you have?
.063n .047f, 5.5 psi 27 deg timing 94 octane. Need some more passes to dial it in but I think next year I’d like to do a 351w for this car
