    If I buy a tax lien today from 2020, I only receive the 18% after the property is sold at auction or it is redeemed? I don't receive any interest for maybe 2 years or more?
    I thought the county paid the interest and collected from the redeemer or the new owner.

    So in FL if you have a tax Lien and it is passed the 3 year redemptoon period, you arent able to file foreclosure and aquire the deed for the property?

      Florida has a 2 year redemption period. And yes, you can have the property foreclosed on by the county by filling out the deed application. But in Florida they will send the property to a tax deed sale, and the new buyer will pay of the lien holders. So, in Florida you can really only buy real estate by attending the deed auction. Over 99% of Florida lien holder will never get the property - the only way is if it did not sale at the tax deed auction. And if that is the case - it was probably not a very good property, otherwise someone would have purchased it. Hope this helps and thanks for watching! Stephen

    This is an informative video on Florida tax liens, with great insights and advice for over-the-counter investing. Steven Swenson and Shade provide valuable information on the benefits of over-the-counter investing, such as earning the maximum rate of return and avoiding competitive bidding. They also discuss the online auction websites where over-the-counter properties can be purchased, emphasizing the importance of following the over-the-counter lists and acting quickly to secure good liens. Overall, this video is a must-watch for anyone interested in investing in tax liens, particularly in Florida.

    So In Florida is not a great place to do this if 99% of the persons paying off the tax debt never actually get the property for themselves? Or did I miss understand? I live in Citrus county Florida and am Interested in this... thanks..

    Thank you for the great content. If there are previous outstanding lien on the property but they never foreclosure and you are the newest lien holder, after that two years can you foreclose on it?

    What happens if I purchase an OTC tax lien where the taxes are already two years delinquent? Can I claim the property? Or is there more to it?

    Is it a good idea to target the older liens as to targeting the newer liens

    • @belladoes
      @belladoes ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes as they’re closer to the redemption date. Taht either motivates the seller to pay or give u a better chance of staying with the property (however plz note that only abt 5% of properties are foreclosed)
