VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Meet Sarah, a digital nomad traveling with her pup Banjo in her van named Vanna White! She's always had a love for travel and a passion for road trips, so when the popularity of tiny houses came to the surface, she dove in and built her new home on wheels.
The interior is spacious due to the highly organized area with everything having a place and every place having a purpose. There's a functional kitchen with a hidden cassette toilet and a top-loading fridge. Sarah is 5'10", so she created extra laying space by framing out her bed wall to wall. Under the bed is a massive garage that holds her outdoor gear, from camping supplies to a mountain bike. Even with a fear of heights, she still has a secure ladder on the exterior that allows access to her roof for any maintenance needed.

Hah I hate that I have two toilets. It’s one of those things that I just learned what worked best and found it was worth the space (for now) to have both… eventually I’d like to build a compostable toilet to replace both!

I soon will be building my own but I'm scared of the electrical work. Still processing the inverter, solar stuff. But your van is beautiful.
Thank you! Electrical scared me too… I basically studied it like I was studying for a college exam lol. I watched SO many TH-cam videos about how to do it and bought a book on RV electrical wiring. I created a super detailed electrical diagram that has every little detail and ran it by a local solar power company and a guy that was an expert at building out vans/rvs. Once they confirmed it was correct, I just stuck to the diagram! Also, I practiced crimping wires a lot beforehand and made sure I had good tools to do it. You can do it! Just takes time, patience, and an eagerness to learn. :)

Where are you sourcing most of your stuff? Where did you get the moveable table?
Most of my materials came from Home Depot, Ace Hardware, Renogy (for solar), local companies in Colorado, and my table mount is from Lagun :)

I was thinking you can get a tin tub not a big one put a little rubber shower mat in it wash your hair in the sink and then to wash your body just stand in the tub next to the sink and use the sprayer cuz you can turn the sprayer on and turn the sprayer off when you soap up I think that's a good way to shower 🚿 plus you're in control so you won't get the water all over the place it'll go in the tub and won't even be that much water then you rinse it out and you put it away

You have to shower outdoors. Where do you shower during mild or inclement weather? Not a lot of usuable space for food...
I shower in gyms, or I have a way to wash my hair/bathe inside using my sink and a collapsible tub in a pinch. I also travel to warm places… so it’s rare I’m in super cold weather. I find I have more than enough space for food (those shelves are DEEP) - but that’s just me!
Very nice job on the build. The wood is very nice. I have a question. I see you leave your doors open, as many people do, but nobody ever says how you can do that without running down the engine battery. What do you need to disconnect?
Once the engine is off, the power is off. Opening the doors doesn’t trigger any power (lights, etc). All cargo vans I’ve seen on the road behave this way. So no need to worry!
@@darlingdirtbag I did not know that about cargo vans. But minivans and cars with open doors would trigger interior lights to stay on.
@@shariburns6263 totally! It was a good question that I’ve never considered people would have! I’d imagine that with vans or cars, you could disconnect this. But with cargo vans, it’s a non-issue :)

I always wonder why the beds of solo travellers are so big. Being German I’ve always had normal single beds while being solo, which means 90 x 200 cm. A bed that size lengthwise would leave room for a closet and a bathroom.
You’re not wrong! I could definitely go with a smaller bed. When I adopted my dog, it definitely made the bed feel much smaller (hes a bed hog) - but yes, it does take up a decent amount of space. I don’t feel that I’m lacking in terms of storage, but I would like more seating. Something I’ve kept in mind for a potential future build! Keep in mind I didn’t know what I was doing at the time haha ;)
