  • In this video we discuss how to play with the 3232 formation in both defense and offense. In this video I set the opponent up in a 433 formation.

    Hi mate, just come across your channel, im looking at a 13232 formation with the players i have in my u13s team for this season , so this video is very informative, do you have any suggestions on defending and attacking corners, defending , im thinking of my big lads doing zonal marking or should they man mark , any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

      Hey mate,
      Thanks for the comment and question. Sorry it took me a bit to responde, I too am a football coach and this summer was very busy one.
      This is definitely a nice formation to try out with U13s and I am glad that this video could offer you some ideas. So, if you have big/tall players, then defending in a zonal formation would be ideal as they would naturally cover a lot of space. I would say something like, one player on the from post, and then a 2-1-2 formation in front of the goalie, and then someone behind/close to the back post, to sweep should the ball simply glaze through and thats usually a smaller player. Once you have that set up, two players on top of the box and then one player staying high, ready for the counter.
      Attacking corners, I would say focus on having your tall players in front of the goal and more so focus on finding a player that can deliver precise balls. For your tall players, simply work on running in and attacking the ball and not just standing in front of the goal of course.
      Lastly, defending in a 3-4-3 for a high press could be something to work with and practice. I believe its always exciting for players to defend high and win the ball back high up the pitch.
      I hope this helps.
      Cheers!

    hi, i was just curious what are your thoughts on a single pivot? i feel like it can be really easy for the opponent to pick out and mark. do u think a double pivot is better?

    • @LaVidaFutbol
      @LaVidaFutbol  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi again, how has your season progressed? I like the single pivot option because it allows space on the outsides for runs. Also in the center, the pivot can drop and allow a CM or the CAM to push up and make a run through the middle. This is also based on the type of players on the team. So if you have more midfielders then you should allow them to keep playing in the middle with one pivot but if you only have a few midfielders and multiple forwards then you might want to consider playing with a formation with 2 or 3 up top. So, ultimately I do not believe one option is always a better option rather a better fit for the team. Hope this helps. Cheers!

    If a player on the opposing team pass the number 2 should the 3 move up to defend him or stay and wait for the 2 to come back and defend him

    hi bro, love your vids, i just became a coach and im not sure what to say at half time to keep them motivated, being only a year older than them doesnt help lol

      Halftime talks are crucial for second half performances. The most important aspect for you as coach to stay confident in your message because regardless of age you are their coach. So, you yourself should be convinced of what you are saying. For example, if the team is not playing well but you know they can do better you let them know. Look, I’ve see what you can do and this is not it. Address what is causing some of the underperforming, such as missed passes, timing is off, lack of communication, etc. it’s always good to give those examples and to offer a couple solutions. Not too many just a few that you believe are the most important. On the other hand, if the team players well and went into the halftime with 1 or 2 goal lead, then just remind them to no get too confident and keep playing hard. To stay focused as to not led up. This message has to be clear. You liked how them played but that’s it’s not enough to win the match. They have to remain focused and maintain the level. And like I mentioned earlier a, a couple tips as to how things can be improved and that’s it, you go with the flow and you yourself keep your cool and remain confident.
      Thanks for supporting my channel, I hope this response helps you out.

    Good afternoon, I have a couple questions (Great video by the way): 1) Where would you recommend to do the UEFA licenses? Currently I have a C license with USSF and FVF (Venezuela Federation) 2) How hard is to get a job abroad or what could be some suggestions that you could give to obtain an opportunity abroad?

    • @LaVidaFutbol
      @LaVidaFutbol  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you. You should continue your process wherever you are. If you now live in the US then I would say to do it there rather than to wait and do it somewhere else. As you get closer to the top, the licensing courses will all be helpful in one way or another. So I live in Germany, I came here with my now wife and was able to stay because I stayed to work as a football coach and english instructor and all that was possible through my education. Once here, I played football in several of the local clubs and that's how i met people and learned the language. Through meeting people, I got opportunities to coach. One big move was contacting the Hannover 96 football school right at the beginning. I did not know anyone there but it helped because they do weekend camps and holiday camps and it was coaching without having a team.
      So, I recommend to not wait and do what it possible and available wherever you are.
      I hope this helps.
      Cheers!

    Can you tell me how to counter 3232

    • @LaVidaFutbol
      @LaVidaFutbol  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Countering can happen in several parts of the field during different phases of the match. Personally, I would allow them to move the ball up the pitch and then run a defensive press. This formation lacks width and if there is low coverage on the wings and they are high up, then they have choose what is more important, defending the space behind or the wings. That is of course a very general approach, it also depends how teams attack and how they tract back and transition. I hope this helps, at least to give you something to focus on. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
