3-2-2-3 or the WM formation is used to attack and defend in block 5’s. Recently used by treble winners Manchester City to dominate England and Europe. The fluidity of players and their positions is a highlighted factor hence the importance of positional play. Understanding that not all moments need to be attacking ones and lead to goals but instead ensuring the control of the game by the team and dictating the flow. Utilise half spaces through wide attacking lanes and cut back passes.
