I never want England to lose our traditions and Royal Family. Its special to us and centuries old and the pride carrying this on and thinking just how many went before is wonderful ❤
Absolutely Wonderful Proud Parents showing their Son and his BEAUTIFUL Horse to the Nation, and telling their friends, This is my Son. A wonderful day for them. Wonderful 🐴💝
I remember my Passing Out Parade April 1975 in Guildford. Must have been the coldest April in history!!! I dont think my sister has forgiven me yet!!! My parents made me wait till I was 18, they refused to sign my papers as they didn't want me to join the Army. But. The look of pride on their faces in my photos of that day says it all. They may have been right not to let me join before I was 18 as I met my dearest friend and first time around my now husband! It's wonderful our young men and women still wish to serve their country and I thank them for that. To all our Service men and women, keep safe xx
THE PRIDE THESE PARENT'S HAVE FOR THEIR CHILDREN BEING A GUARD IS IMMESURABLE. EVEN THOUGH IT CAME FROM THEIR PROPER UP BRINGING. THE PARENT'S CAN ONLY HOPE THEIR SON'S AND DAUGHTER'S DO THE SAME WITH THEIR CHILDREN. WHICH I'M SAD TO SAY. IN TODAY'S SOCIETY THAT MIGHT BE A LITTLE MORE DIFFICULT. GOD BLESS THE GUARD'S AND THEIR LOYALTY TO THE KING 🙏
Beautiful scenery and awsome troops. My respect goes out to them. Now if only the people and tourists would respect them when there on duty . 🐴🥁 not saying all are bad just a few. Love it when our military is all dressed to America. My respect to all military. God love you thank you for your service.
Oh how his parents must feel so proud of their son I know the feeling my son is not a soldier. My son is an EMT and he is the top of the country and it is something I never expected in my life but I am so proud of him And he gets embarrassed when I mention it and he gets embarrassed when I see his coworkers and I say hello to them may how is a parent supposed to feel when they’re overwhelmed with the pride, knowing that their child him or her has become something more than what you expected them to become❤❤❤❤❤
Absolutely 💯 beautiful 🤩 may our British 🇬🇧 traditions last forever These parents must be so proud of their Hero Son and all the other families of these Heroes Godbless them all God Save our Gracious King 👑 and Country 🇬🇧👑🌷💯🇬🇧💙❤️
Thank you so much for this video. Seeing all the horses line up quietly with their riders in various uniforms was great and getting to see proud mom and dad was great fun. Seeing the feathers and plumes in the breeze let us know the weather and flashing shoes as the last horse left were nice touches. Thank you.
Do these horses have the same rider each time they are out, if so when the soldier is away on deployment do the horses just get fed and exercised. I'm just curious how the horse adapts if it has different riders. Lovely video, thanks. l
No, the Cavalrymen have to be competent to ride and control any mount allocated to them as with their armoured vehicles colleagues which are fast light reconnaissance tanks. The Troopers may and will have a preference(s), which if possible, can be accommodated within the Military rota of mounts. See them on their twice yearly holiday at Holkham Beach in Norfolk splashing about bare back in the North Sea.
@@stuartmccall5474 Thanks for that explanation, it elevates my respect for both the riders and the horse. They are such a splendour to sight and look so attuned to each other. I am watching from New Zealand so can only see the affinity between the man and the beast, it must be an awesome experience to see it live.
@@alisoncooper1421 : Yes, made all the more remarkable by the fact that mounts can weigh up to 3/4 ton each, are trained, but not bronco-busted broken and can (and very often do) have a mind of their own. The Blues & Royals traditionally favour larger and heavier mounts than the Life Guards. You would not want to be an infantryman with one of these beasts charging down on you!!
A slightly different subject. As a Hungarian, it is good to see that in every part of the world where there is a tradition of military cavalry dress, you can still see the features of the Hungarian hussar uniform.
Oh how lovely and a officer taking the photos…. They must of been so proud….. Shame even when the guard is having a family moment some tourists have to get in on the act…!!👍🇬🇧
Why carent you people explain what is happening.i am inAUSTRALIA AND HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING KINGS GUARDS AND ITS DAM FRUSTRATING NOT KNOWING WHAT IS HAPPENING AND WHY
Every unit in the British army has a redinance review to check if they can be deployed . This is called the majority generals review . It happened for the household cavalry a week or so ago . This is just a meet a greet afterwards for family and the press .

Nice! Yeah, it's always special to see a child working as a guard and for them to visit.
That is a gorgeous herd. Well done, men. I love seeing horsemanship and traditions being kept alive.

And why not be proud and show it 😂 excellent
The officer doing a good job to taken photos.
This is just a family “meet and greet” exercise. Only an expert from the Army would be qualified to give a narrative!

Open your eyes and use commonsense. Not too hard to understand what’s happening.Rob from Adelaide.
Don't be so arrogant. I feel thevsame sometimes not enough info given and this spoils the enjoyment.

English, not a clue what the feck is going on
A major general’s review is a unit inspection for operational rediness, this was a photo shot for press and public after the review
