If you notice the crowds back then,it was a working class crowd. People that worked hard all week and then went to a game and gave their all to root for the team they loved. Now tickets are so high they are for the rich that are only ther just because. Very quiet crowds that really dont care.
I do agree that tickets are more expensive now, but I disagree about the crowd noise. It depends on the team. If they are winning a lot and a championship team, the crowd is in the game and loud. Look at the Golden State Warriors in Oracle Arena. Watching Curry, KD, and Clay dropping 3's gets the crowd on their feet.

I remember watching the game live on TNT. I was glued to the television and just erupted in loud shouts when Randy Brown dunk. Man, I loved that year because I got to see most of their games staying with my Grandmother had who had cable TV and Chicago's WGN. That 69-13 Bulls of the 96-97 season were my favorite of the teams during their 2nd 3-peat. Sadly, the lack of cap space to resign Brian (who actually wanted too much money in comparison to his output)and Jerry Krause spitefully trading away Caffey the next year weakened them going into the 98 season.
Dennis in Chicago you will always be remembered as one of the greatest. Every single night you laid it all out on the line. An unsung hero and a true legend.
Rodman...2 points 18 rebounds. lol. This team had so many weapons. I laugh when preteens come on the comments and swear to holy jesus that any squad in the current era could run with this team.

Tony Kukoc is the best player ever to come to NBA from europe.... He is only the second player in NBA history to play all five positions on the court in the NBA finals ( 1st Magic Johnson)
Awesome ending, awesome match. Awesome heroics from many. Pippen was huge, Kukoc commanded the late comeback with a ton of threes including a break-away without a follow-through over Shaq's fingertips to tie. Randy Brown posterizing two taller Lakers. Rodman with 17 Rebounds ( 18 Rebounds total in the match) and no points with seconds to go in OT and he swishes his first two points at the line though he was not a good free-throw shooter. Thanks for the memories. I'm going to show my Dad this one.
That is an interesting conjecture. How about Kareem, Magic, Worthy or Russell, Sam Jones, Havlicek, or West, Wilt, Goodrich? Before your time maybe, but great nonetheless.
Oh yeah he was a rebounding machine for sure rebounds and defense r all about heart that's why u don't see a lot of rebounds and defense in today's NBA no one has heart any more it's just score score score!!!
is he really 7ft? He was next to pippen when Randy Brown and the other guy were getting into it (when they trapped him in the corner). Shaq didn't look like he was 6 inches taller but maybe he wasn't standing straight.
Whenever someone would tell me back in the day that the Bulls were all Michael Jordan and a one-man team... I would just laugh at their ignorance & envy. The rebounding & team defense was tremendous. Jordan scored 30 points per game so the other 70+ points had to come from somewhere... and it did. Most importantly, everyone on the team knew their own role and always put the team first. This game is a great example of how diverse and deep they were, and showed how Michael Jordan's voracious will to win carried over to the rest of the team. I still can't believe owner Jerry Reinsdorf did not make sure the team came back for another season together in 1998-99 for a chance at 4 straight NBA titles.
@simplygu Cuz Reinsdorf always was and still is an arrogant a$$ wipe. Jordan made him a billionaire and he tried to call his bluff. I'll never forgive him for that as a Chicagoan.
Games like these are why IMO, makes this the GREATEST TEAM EVER, just above the ‘16 Warriors most people think are the best of all-time. Scottie and Kukoc bombing 3’s And everyone playing real defense, GAME OVER.
For all the kiddies wondering what that silly length-of-the-court defense was, it's called "full court press" and no it's not against the rules in the NBA today. Players today are simply lazy.
Players today can actually dribble and pass at every position. Plus the rules favor the offense now. They are not lazy. They are at a huge disadvantage
I still dream of games like this back in the 90's. Kukoc was on fire and I luv how Jordan and Pippen had to tackle Rodman at the end. You get the feeling that they had done it before... likely in practice.
This was definitely the best game of the regular season. It felt like a Playoff game when The Bulls came back from that huge deficit to win in overtime.
The 90's was the greatest NBA life ever!! Nowadays..i barely even watch a game..but back then it didn't matter who played. You almost knew every players name even on the bench. Games were on fire!! The crowd rumbled like thunder!! Jordan, Pippen, Kukoc and Rodman era was phenomenal and it left when actually Kobe retired. Kobe was like the second Jordan.. But RIP Kobe. Miss those days for real.
This shit is Awesome!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best games played in NBA history by two of the greatest teams ever!!!!!!!!!!!! We will never see an era like this again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if only i had a time machine. i would love watching the bulls plays with the nba rosters now a days! Bulls NEVER SAY DAY! this is one HELL of a true TEAM!
Look at the defense, pressure on the ball. No physicality, just pure defense. That translates to today's NBA. The 2017 Warriors would have a hard time scoring, good luck guarding Jordan and Pippen...and nobody talks about Kukoc. He would be insane in today's NBA.
This the kinda game I remember mj talking about in air time when he was young vs the Celtics. "Didn't matter how the we would start the game they knew they were gonna come back and beat us." McHale would talk more trash then anyone's ever seen...bird as well.

He drove opposing players absolutely nuts. A master at psychological warfare.
He pulled the right triggers of his opponent.

Tony Kukoc, the idol of my dad. He said without Rodman and Kukoc bulls will never 3peat again back then. The most underrated players in nba history.

The best part of this was easily when Michael and Scotty had to hold back Dennis. Good lord what an era this was. So amazing.

They can't afford losing rodman at that important moment
Because they needed him.

John Ames check google to validate rodman’s height.
The basketball Beatles
Scottie and Kukoc bombing 3’s
And everyone playing real defense, GAME OVER.
For all the kiddies wondering what that silly length-of-the-court defense was, it's called "full court press" and no it's not against the rules in the NBA today. Players today are simply lazy.
Its so exhausting
You're a moron
The way the rules are now it’s almost impossible to stay in front of your man in a full court press. Any kind of contact nowadays and it’s a foul.
You get the feeling that they had done it before... likely in practice.
this was THE NBA finals game of all time that never happened in the playoffs!
I'm a BIG FAN of Scottie33 BIG RESPECT to him....
pippen and kukoc was the two best in this game
the nba in the 90's wow the crowd !
Pippen rodman harper and jordan are just on a different dimension . Theyre insane
This was such a great game. Pippen and Kukoc came up huge.
There is no way to stop the Chicago Bulls of MJ era... No way... Amazing team!..
kukoc my man didnt hit the rim on those threes very underrated clutch performer
Pippen has to be The coolest of the greatest. Great composure and attitude.
Rodman would make Draymond cry to his mama every night 🤣
gotta love Dennis "The Worm" Rodman
Pippen Jordan Rodman my idol since I was kid
But you can't deny he's a hell of a basketball player!!!!!! 🔥💯
Kukoc giving it tonnes of arc on the 3 ball. Love Rodmans hustle.
This shit is Awesome!!!!!!!!!!! One of the best games played in NBA history by two of the greatest teams ever!!!!!!!!!!!! We will never see an era like this again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is one game would be amazing remastered in HD in full game to watch today team have no chance against the bulls
I wonder, what is the meaning of your name??
Kukoc was SOOOOOOOOOOO underrated. I honestly feel Kukoc is the reason that cements the 96 bulls as the GOAT team.
Wow those guys are so young then. Great series
if only i had a time machine. i would love watching the bulls plays with the nba rosters now a days!
This game was off the chain!
Those were the games you dont watch anymore and the legends that made that time special
This the kinda game I remember mj talking about in air time when he was young vs the Celtics. "Didn't matter how the we would start the game they knew they were gonna come back and beat us." McHale would talk more trash then anyone's ever seen...bird as well.
