The Lakers really had a super solid team, the refs favors the bulls in calls, that’s why they won, MJ most of the time travels, but only called one time, even the announcers were saying, MJ does that move most of the time, 2 blocks by Shaq was called a foul, especially on MJ who is always a superstar call, and most of the nba players, if you get too close to Michael it will surely be a foul. Shaq blocks Puppen and clearly the ball is still going way up, but the refs called a goal tending. Eddie Jones deserves to be on that Lakers championship team, he shouldn’t be traded together with Elden Campbell, He was like the smooth fire and ice operator, EVERYTIME the Bulls would make a run, he was like a fireman and will deliver and stop the Bulls run, costly turnovers and poor free throw shooting hurts the Lakers in the endgame. The Bulls were so lucky that they didn’t met the Lakers in the Finals, because the NBA league, wants the Bulls to win, that’s why the Jazz got the favorable calls in the western Finals. If the Lakers faces the Bulls in the Finals, there’s no way the Bulls would win the championship. Just look at the regular season the Lakers have beaten the Bulls by over 20 points, this is the one game that the Bulls played catch up and won

Without Jordan pip was nothing! didn't start his first 2 seasons and avg less than 10ppg. didn't make an all-star as a champion until 1992 and he missed 1998. He also didn't make it after Chicago and won nothing after that with Portland or Houston where he had his chance. Just stop. Jordan is the GOAT.

Michael Jordan somehow had a game off, the reason the Lakers led that much.
    Thankfully, Toni Kukoc stepped up.
No complaints from GOAT. Pip was mum too, a far cry from 1994 Playoffs.

Please someone, launch a parallel pro basketball league based on these 90's NBA games and rules. Those passionate, real basketball lovers who would wanna join would be most welcomed. Those who wanna stay with today's crap would be free to do so. Please somebody hear me 🙏🏾

The great Chicago Bulls won't quit and they won. Michael Jordan didn't even have to take over because they got Scottie Pippen and Toni Kukoc on offense and of course Dennis Rodman on defense and rebounding. It's funny that clutch player Kukoc is being interviewed and sitting beside a choke artist of a coach in Doc Rivers.

with strict travelling rules i wonder how curry will fair in this defense oriented era... curry can only create space thru his "handling" skills which mainly consists of travelling.

@@kennethpage417 Load of baloney with about 30 holes in it. The Lakers were not picked on in the Jazz series and were not kept from the Bulls in that finals. They didn't make it because they weren't as good as the Jazz. If the League wanted the Bulls to win they would have had them win whether it was utah or LA. In fact if the league was so intent on the Bulls winning then the lakers would have been the better team to face since Shaq was the biggest star between LA and Utah's players, LA was a bigger market, LA a more iconic team AND it would have bookended Jordan's career to have his first and last title vs LA. Ratings would have also been even higher.
BTW, the Lakers wouldn't have won for the very reasons you said they lost this game.... costly turnovers, poor free throw shooting, but add in youth, nerves and less skill. BTW, this was the 97 season, which the Bulls swept the Lakers and LA did not play the Jazz in the WCF. They played earlier in the playoffs and were still not a match for Utah. Between 97 and 98, the Lakers lost 3 of 4 against the Bulls.
Oh and if the Lakers were so ready and dominant, they would have won in 1999 but they didn't. Instead they were embarrassed by another veteran team...San Antonio. It's almost as if brains, experience, leadership and not having fatal flaws was important. Just ask the Bulls, Spurs and Jazz that owned LA.
You just sound like a deluded, whining LA fan that doesn't know about the NBA in this era or severely overestimates his team while complaining about all the other better teams. heck, you complained about Chicago and Utah without acknowledging all the flaws the Lakers had and all the things they got away with.
