Emily, you and Bogie have such an amazing relationship. Precious! I've never really been around a pet bird so your experience is very eye-opening. Thanks for all the adorable videos. I had an owl fly into the house the other night! Ended up calling 911 and they called animal control. A guy came and got it out easily and we let it fly into the night (1:45 AM). It was in my bedroom on a very tall piece of furniture! After the initial shock, I've been feeling it was a blessing from the owls.
WOW I couldn't imagine having an owl roosted in my house 😂
@@flocklife It flew in when I opened the door from the house to the garage to take out the trash. The owl must have been in the garage as I frequently left the door to the yard ajar for fresh air. It all happened so fast I didn't even know what kind of bird it was. After taking out the trash and looking at the stars, I grabbed a broom from the garage thinking I might be able to shoo it out. No bird in the den, kitchen, front living room. I headed down the hall to my bedroom and there on top of a tall piece of furniture next to my bed sat the owl staring at me! I talked to it for a while and it just kept looking at me. When I stepped into my bedroom it flew to a matching piece of furniture on the other on the other side of the twin beds. I realized I was going to need help. Thankfully a really nice, tall (6'5'') guy in his 20's came around 1 AM and was easily able to get it into a net and we set it free outside the garage. It was a wild experience for sure! The guy also recommended I keep the side door shut. Now I want to know where the owl lives...
Emily, it's so wonderful to get a heart response from you. I can hardly believe it's been a year since I watched your great video of Bogie and I had my owl experience. I hear you're busy with a new job and I really hope you are happy and enjoying your married life. It's been a crazy time since Covid. I've had a shitty year and am going to have to have to have some heart surgery after my heart was damaged by a break-through case of covid delta pneumonia that lasted for 2.5 months. I just had another CAT scan on Thursday and Friday got the news of how bad things are. I'm trying to remain positive but it's very scary going through this alone. Please keep me in your prayers and post a current video of Bogie. Sending love and best wishes for Happy Holidays to you and Scottie and Bogie.
