I have found that this is not entirely true. People in Thailand tend to be "fake nice." If you have never been around "fake nice people," like people in the South for example, it is easy to think people are nice when they are really duplicitous.
@@biashacker How do you judge people that are "fake nice."? It's impossible for people who are unfamiliar with each other, especially strangers, to suddenly become "truly nice" at first sight in all situations. That's absolutely fake nice.

Living in Bangkok sounds like an incredible choice! 🌆 It’s such a vibrant city with endless opportunities and a welcoming community-perfect for a fresh start!
Lovely interview. Thanks Adam and Stacey for your kind words to Thailand and the people. Stacey, I'm Thai, when I was young I neither didn't like rain, then I just realize that rain means so much to farmers' LIFE in the country side. Now I feel happier in rainy season (of course, not floods). 😂😂
Hey Adam, my name is Rod and I'm a 28 year old Army veteran of 6 years, who's been in Bangkok for 1 year now. I've been to 29 countries, and I do day hikes around the world of 30 km or more, with no breaks. I'd love to connect with you for an interview one day. I've got big plans and I want to share it with the world. My business email is in the description of my TH-cam channel, thanks for your time.
Very interesting topic and I like the format. I have the LTR-P visa and have to say that I love it. I purchased my first condo in 2009 after visiting Thailand for the first time in 2004. Having lived in places like Japan, The Philippines, Iceland, the USA I really just felt at home in Thailand. The food the people the live and let live attitude. Just wanted to reach out to you and say keep up the good work .
Glad that you enjoyed living in a huge city like BKk. I was born & live in BKK and spent 2 years in a small town, Bloomington, in Indiana studying. I loved every minute of it and still miss it. 😊
Great insightful questions. The B rolls & graphics makes it even more enjoyable to watch. Just one note, the wide angle of you two with the background of Bangkok was amazing, but it also looks better if the camera pans to you while you're talking rather than aiming at Stacy nodding. In conversations, you want to focus on the person talking. Just a thought. Look forward to your next video.
As a veteran, I can confidently tell you that the only free healthcare US veterans receive, is if it is a health issue related to your military service. Stacey seems healthy, but if he falls victim to an unexpected illness or he is in an accident in Thailand, he better not be counting on the VA or US government to foot the bill. I really hope he understands this before it is too late.
The VA is willingly incompetent. Even Tricare there can be issues. The worst part is you have to pay up front first and then you are reimbursed by the government. I will tell you a secret - there was a Colonel that worked closely with Tricare and veteran medical services. He said to a retired military couple that the US is trying to cut costs and eliminate some medical care for veterans. This is why you may be seeing worse medical care all around. The civilian sector is doing the same.
I was wondering about this also. My understanding is that the VA Foreign Medical Program (FMP) is designed for U.S. veterans who live or travel abroad and need treatment for VA-rated service-connected conditions. I do receive VA healthcare in the states and, while the cost is quite low, it is not free. Is there a way to be granted this low-cost healthcare while in Thailand?

good interview, wished you asked more detail on the compelling history- 1) what type of biz in San Diego, 2) what’s he doing with the two trucks, 3) how does military pay for your college when you’re no longer serving 4) did he say he plays semi-pro bball in Thailand… what did he mean about making it onto a basketball team?
Military pays for school because he qualifies for the GI Bill which gives him 4 years free schooling paid for in addition to Basic allowance for housing (BAH) I’m gonna do that he’s doing next year too with online classes 🤣🤣
There is no cycling culture in Bangkok so it's not safe at all. Things can go wrong as cars don't generally expect bicycles that ride at slower speed on the roads. Best just to take BTS, MRT, Taxi etc.
Wow. I've seen a couple of his vids and I thought he was just another knuckle head youtuber hanging out with stoners and probably won't last long. I'm pretty impressed with him after the interview. From military to proprietary trader in the UK. Hopped from county to country. Screams of a CIA asset. 😁
Stacey said Thai society is built on respect. That struck me as true and a key theme why Thailand is so appreciated.

Very good interview, pretty fair to BKK thank you
on our way for vacation in January. We dont drink, but would love too find a chill quiet Rooftop restaurant if anyone has any ideas.
Vertigo is a solid option. Not sure what you mean by “quiet”, but you won’t have to shout to have a conversation.
There’s soooo many options
YELLOW ROOF is a solid local choice, but may be a little far for you but on the MRT lines.
@@seanrrichards Do they no longer have live music?
Not sure how that would fit into OPs criteria of “quiet”.

Lets Go Stacey!
