Hey guys! So I've been using nanoleaf kits in my gaming setup for a good few years now... back from when the original aurora triangles came out! Time has passed since then, and nanoleaf have come out with a bunch of new products. In this video I talk you through some of the feature differences of the nanoleaf triangles, canvas, and new shapes kits, to help you make a decision!

Which nanoleaf kit would you take? ðð
Gonna take the drone out this weekend guys I'll make a vlog ðĨðŊ
I like the canvas panels. I have all Govee right now and Iâm worried about mixing ecosystems and color consistency. Do they work well together?
I have the canvas but i might buy the shapes...
Canvas
The triangles! And what drone do you have? P.S your setup looks good with RGB and everything
@@tuckertech not really, I usually just put my govee lights on white and that kinda works with anything
I just got some nanoleaf panels and theyâre amazing! Youâre channel inspired me to get them in the first place. Thank you for showing me how to set them up in a previous video!
That's awesome! Which ones did you get? âĪ
@@TechTesseract rip no reply :(
@@TechTesseract I got the Light Panels Rhythm 15 pack! They are great! Thanks so much for replying.

The new Wood type Nano leaf panels look really amazing!
That's a great video, loved the comparison. This will definitely help in deciding to buy the right one
Awesome video! Your Nanoleaf guide rocks! The colors and designs are cool, and now I know why it's the best for my setup.

Your my favourite TH-camr by far, really good videos!ð

This is such a good channel and deserves much more subs
Thanks, excelent video!
Every time I watch your vids I spend money! Thanks for the review.
Already know its gonna be ðĨ
Ayyy let's go
@@TechTesseract where is ur blisslight star projector ?
Is there any differences between the rhythm and the auroras ? Are they the same design ? Do they have the same brightness ? Is everything the same and the rhythm just have a alr included rhythm module ?
For me the Hexagon panels only look good when they are mixed with the Triangles or the Mini Triangles. Also, you missed out the fact that on the original Aurora panels you can plug an audio source directly into the Rhythm Module (this works better than relying on the built in microphones imo). I like the Aurora most but I also really like the Mini Triangles.
What desktop wallpaper do you have? It looks so cool!
i subbed dude your videos are kinda FIRE NGL
For me I love the Hexagons most bc they look so natural and modern at the same timeð
I just got the rhythm ones!
Great Vid!
i just bought 9 pannels for $150 australian dollars! (second hand) there great thanks for being such a insparation
I have got a pack of the 'old' triangles, can I mix them up with some new ones? The shapes are the same? U mentionend that the brightness is not the same, right? Cheers and keep on yt'ing ððŧðūððž
What do you use for the ambient lights around the room?
4:02 I gotta find these wallpapers! Those look sick!
I hav a question,
So 2 of rhythm triangles can be combined?
Im gonna get mine tomorrowð
What are these mini hexagons you have ?
Do these smart panels support the Thread protocol or only WIFI?
I would so love to see you do a review on the Shapes Triangles
I'm gonna have to buy some aren't I... ððĪĢðĪĢ
@@TechTesseract you just need to find some space for them if you have any ð
i wish nanoleaf would come out with something similar to the lifx tiles, multiple colors per panel + color doodling, animations like fireplace, tie dye, music visualizer etc. the lifx tiles are now discontinued (not surprised since they could be buggy and connecting with the lights was a hassle). i now have the nanoleaf shapes and i love them but i cant help but to want for more from the actual panels
Great vid as always
Thx dude!
@@TechTesseract Np!
Where did you get that awesome looking cutting mat @3:14??
I think all of them look nice, i haven't got the shapes yet though
They look like circles :)
why dont you have the skylite star projector anymore?
Can they work with Bluetooth only or is WiFi necessary?
New subscriber, great video, great review,
Which preset were u using at 4:20
Iâve got to say I absolutely hate the new panel connectors. Trying a layout prior to putting it on the wall is really difficult to do. They just wonât stay connected. I wish they would add some sort of magnetic clasp or at least some sort of audible click when theyâre connected properly.
Came for the nanoleaf, stayed for the Plini Strandberg. Incredible guitar.
Thanks, almost bought the hex but I donât like that they are actually round. ðð
I have no problem with cyrcles ð
Hello! The drone video you posted a long time ago never had an actual flying review and it was just the unboxing. Will there be a flying video soon of the drone? Thanks and keep up the good work ððŧ
See pinned comment on this video bro! ððŧ Taking it out this weekend ðŊ
@@TechTesseract Nice! Looking forward to it. ððŧ
From where did you nanoleafs ship? How long wa your waitingtime?I live in Austria so i guess i would receive mine from Germany? Btw, i appreciate your honest video telling it how it is...
I got nano leafs yesterday
just got some and i love them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ay which ones you get?
@@TechTesseract. i got the shapes, because i like to ability to to change it up with other shapes. huge fan btw. love all the videos. started my own channel with the thought of you :)
Eheh I bought the shapes triangles on last Monday .. looks like I made the right choice ð I guess ? ð
Is that the Pini signature Strandberg Boden?
Anyone know what the sticky things are called need to move mine and want to order some sticking things
I see that you provided links for just about every feature in your studio setup. Where do you get the animated desktop art?
wallpaper engine, you can find it on steam
Which secret lab chair do you have ? Is it the Titan? Have been looking at getting one for a while and not sure which is best. Thanks!
Same! Have you figured out which one is the best?
the wallpaper please, i cant help it. whats the name?
Im getting all 3
i subbed because of this vid
Great video keep it up
Thanks!
Do you hang any suggestions for a cheaper alternative? I've been saving up to get some stuff like this, but for the time being I can't spend hundreds on these
Cololights are what you want then I think.
Dude. time to own the 4 set :o Nanoleaf Elements. Will be looking forward to ur review on tat ya. :P
please do Canadian prices pls
Was thinking of getting a bunch, are they worth it in your opinion?
Yes!
Triangle ones
What's the diffidence between old triangle shape and new one ?
And which one should i get ?
Old ones are brighter & need the Rhythm Module to react to music, you can plug an audio source directly into the Rhythm Module or let it use it's build in microphone. New ones don't need a Rhythm Module as a microphone is built into the Control Panel, but you can't plug an audio source directly into them, they also have slightly rounded corners.
You are born to do his thank you thank you
Did you forget the lines kits?
Do you thing the nanoleaf kit would look nice in a working space?
Gret coloring in this video.
Canvas look the best to me.
Yeah definitely the coolest
so are they basically lamps? do they replace the need to have a lamp?
I tried doing exactly this with my desk and the results were a bit mixed. Being that I had a white laminate desk at the time, mounting 13 hexagon shapes in a 3-2-3-2-3 pattern, avoiding gaps to concentrate light, I could crank it to 100% and it was definitely bright enough to work by in the dark! However, it soon dawned on me that using a lamp to cast light at a downward (and not directly in your face angle) is far more comfortable for dim light usage, particularly in New England winter time with our 5-6 hours of light per day lol. Needless to say, I brought my color temp adjustable desk lamp back out and re-arranged the hexagons (and added some mini triangles for variety) in a more spread out fashion with gaps to use as a cool accent light. It's soooo much better this way! I highly suggest spreading your design out either vertically or horizontally (or both!) to maximum motion effects and the audio visualizer themes. And I have to say, removing the shapes was simple and quick with 0 damage to my paint/drywall so long as you follow the directions haha.
What are the diffrence with new and mini triangles expasion pack and starter kit
Expansion packs are for adding onto existing set ups, if you don't have any panels already you need a starter kit so that you get the controller & mains lead.
Yup, the hexagons not being hexagons and the hotspots kills it for me, otherwise this would be awesome, the cutout bits on the panels just kill it for me, i have no idea why they have done it this way since there are alternatives that have none of these problems.
Im either gonna save for the hexagons or ask my parents for them on Christmas lol.
i want to get the original triangle ones becuase i think they look the best but they're just so expensive and i dont know if its worth it. now i could just get the newer ones because they're a lot cheaper but i dont think they look as good as the original
Home Depot had them for $150 a couple days ago, not sure if they still do but worth a look
I think they are well worth it, I've got the original ones & I just bought some more. They are becoming harder to find lately though in some places.
I'm just waiting for govee to release their "DIY light panels" and buy those insted since nanoleaf is too expensive and I'm already deep into govee ecosystem
they also put the old version Dreamcolor led strip down ):
How do u do the mirror affect?
How can I get a lot of canvas leds for cheap? Is it cheaper for the more u buy? I like the design. I want to do the same for my tv
They do look like circles
But does each individual panel light up in a different colour?
In what way? Each panel can be 1 colour at a time
Oh ok thx that makes sense now
Is this wireless? I dont see any wire being plugged to a power source
they are wired
My man is going to get 100k subs soon..I can call my self a OG subscriber soonð u make good vids Man U deserve the support! Remember me when u get famous as wellðĪĢ
Cannot get them to pair no matter what I do.
They do look like circles, you're right
I agree, they donât look like hexagons. Bummer.

@@TechTesseract love your content, keep it up ð
Thanks!
They do look like circles ðð
Hexagons look better when mixed with the other shapes , turn off touch control --- causes problems .
Yeah 100% - and thanks for the tip!
âRounded offâ we in interior designer prefer the terms âFillet or Chamferâ
I have an question please respond because i am confused on something
I might be able to answer it.
If only I could actually afford them ðĪĢ
Is it just me or do the canvas look like a German symbol used around 1940? (Idk if I can say the name on TH-cam)
Hi josh
Me just boat The new hexagons
RIP in The comments
They ARE circles. they do not only look like them, they ARE circles.
Did i hear you say squirkles? lol 5:43
Those hexagons really are fugly, they look so misshapen and blobby.
they are cool but definitely to expensive
why are these so fricking expensive?
If only they werenât so damn expensive
defo circles lol
No way
