I will always have a warmth and a fondness for Blackpool,...as a child growing up in the 1970s, I always looked forward to annual day trips every summer during the school holidays.....I was filled with so much joy and excitement every time i visited this magical place , ....from the noise and colour of the penny arcades,....and the lovely smells of fish and chips and hotdogs wafting through the warm summer air.....as a kid the place was a kaleidoscope of colours , smells noise and fun ,....and it gave me some of my childhoods happiest memories, that will live with me till the day I die,......Great times

It was a nice place to visit, but crap if you're from there. I was born in Blackpool Vic in 1976, so I know. Moved away many years ago, but the place never leaves you. It still makes me smile when I see the Tower ont telly.😁

I was born in the Vic in 1978 and lived in Blackpool for most of my life. I've always thought more that, it has many faults like all seasonal towns, but, it must be brilliant coming here for a jolly 😊

@@101mojojo I still go back now and again, mainly to see family. Last time, I wondered where The Palace nightclub had gone! I went to see a friend on Seed Street too, only to find it's now a car park. You expect things to be the same, for some reason. Have a good one mate.😄👍

I was there in the summer of 1994 it was my 1st time there..it was a hundred years for the tower.

Yes I remember, - I was there in 94’ when the tower was painted gold for that year, also the Pepsi max big one rollercoaster we were waiting for it to begin rolling that year and it had some computer glitch so as a result I never went on it, and still haven’t. Definitely 94 it is...

Actually I think that is 1994 than 93 because the tower was red in 1993 and painted gold in 1994 for its centenary year.
