Yes, the best version (so far). Incredible musicianship, amazing live performances. When he was young it was mainly blazing fast, virtuoso country pickin' licks but he's matured into a really melodic musician. Still does the incredible chicken pickin but so much more as you can see here.

Playing beautiful stuff and great vocal harmonies too. Fabulous show and they seemed to be having a great time themselves. It was more than just a backing band. A bit of magic happening. It can be a tough business the live music scene but Albert Lee like Jeff Beck, who wouldn't want to be onstage with them?
@@robnic52 I'm envious. By all accounts Albert is a gentleman too. My mate's brother in law met Jeff Beck and said he was a really down to earth guy too.
Thirty years ago I was Albert destroy a stage he shared with Eddie Van Halen and Steve Morse. The man is a giant in every sense of the word. No, giant is too small of a word.
Beautiful ! I enjoy the Highwaymen's version bt Albert's singing gives this song a bit more feeling, in my humble opinion. Hard to decide which is better, and a tad unfair to do it because both versions are Beautiful 👍

Me too, saw him play this some years ago with my late wife and I find it hard to watch because of the memories of her.

I am lucky to have Albert's 1st recording on a vinyl 78 rpm recorded way back in 1960 .He had not been playing long ,and I was there.
