I have one of these. I fished with it but no bites. I can't say how it feels with a fish, but it retrieved a spinner bait easily. The frame is super rigid so I felt more through the reel. It casts easier than my other reels thanks to the weight. I got with the 25% coupon so I paid $52.50. Absolute steal at that price. I bought the torrent as well and this thing is so much better. The torrent is great. Light weight reels are gonna be an addiction like you said.

i am waiting for your cast test on this to pull the trigger. The Reel Test- in all your reel evaluations please add a width measurement of spool. I believe the narrow spools can be a benefit to farther casts because they do not have to pull line off so far from side to side.

Pretty sure the sea knight reel from China is the bfs version of this with a 10gm spool as it states on there site. You should see how it would go with the finesse spool.
you should do a $50 reel shootout. there are so many you coukd do! black max, quantum pulse, phluger trion, kast king royal legend, piscifun torent, okuma stratus V, id love to see how the super inexpensive ones stack up!

Russell Anderson i just looked at the Stealth, from what I see its pretty much the same reel but with slightly different centrifugal brakes and a different body. If Kastking wants to send me some reels they know how to contact me.
I hope Kastking would be up to the challenge, I am really curious as to which style of centrifugal brake gives better control, on the spool as with the Phantom, or applied to the shaft as with the Stealth.
Sorry to hear that Hog Hauler, I hope you were able to have it replaced. A while ago, Realistic Fishing had to have his Stealth replaced, he has an honest review video of it, but as far as I know, his replacement has been working ok.

Guys i buy for few week ago a piscifun torrent and a castking spartacus reel. Please dont listen to those review. No One tell you the truth. I try it its just a normal 40 dollar reel how is made from plastic. Nothing else. For the same money i Can get a secondhand reel full metal frame shimano or Daiwa or ABU Ambassadeur. You want a New reel for 40 dollars buy Abu garcia or Daiwa Eco lines for the same price. Those reel are the same shit quality. But you get a custumer service how help you With any problems. Not like those Chinese companys how are only intressted in selling.

I had looked at these when I was checking out cheaper baitcasters like the Fish Drop (Shishamo or whatever) for just a backup loaner reel.
For 70 bucks it feels solid! nice paint, nothing loose, its smooth. The big question is will it last to give you $70 worth of use.

I hate the stealth braking. I had to the get the side plate replaced multiple times. The kast king assassin is the closest to this one.

the phantom definitely has the Banax trademarks, but the Perseus has the Doyo trademarks. Piscifun is probably using both factories id guess
