    I have three Piscifun Phantom 5.7 ounce reels and all perform identically. With the centrifugal brake set at 2 and magnetic brake at 2, using a MH inshore rod at 7 feet length, spooled with 40 lb test Stealth braid, throwing 1.3 ounce Lil Bastard surface baits, I can cast with no backlashes.... ever. In fact, even setting the magnetic brake to 0 with the centrifugal brake at 2, not thumbing the spool until the lure hits the water... never experienced spool overrun! I have no affiliation with the manufacturer, but now own 8 Piscifun reels, as their performance for the price is unrivaled in my experience.

    I started with a Piscifun Torrent and was impressed. I then bought an Alijos. Still good. Then a Flame spinning and the latest is the Alloy M. Ok, I love the way all these reels fish but the key will be longevity. If these reels hold up, they will be awesome!

    • @paling1872
      @paling1872 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would be amazing, but the main benefit from more expensive reels is their extreme longevity and smoothness, i dont think this reel will stay as smooth as it is for more than 1 year.
      It probably isnt sealed or anything either, so if you get dirt in there you will have to take it out as soon as you can

      I own 8 Piscifun reels in 4 models and 5 of them I have owned between 5-7 years and none of them have broken down or have had any issues whatsoever! And I am rough with my reels since I don’t oil them and they are constantly being placed on the ground and plenty of dirt got into the reels, but still all of them still function well! So your claim is a typical claim made by a distractor or a hater who probably has never used a Piscifun reel in his entire life never mind owning one! It took me a while to buy my first Piscifun reel thanks to guys like you that always leave bad comments against any products that come from China, but once I gathered the courage to buy one and try it for myself - there’s bo turning back since these days nearly every small to medium sized reels that I have bought are Piscifun reels! Like I’ve said, I own 8 Piscifun reels and I have bought even more than that as Christmas gifts for my family and friends and they all love them! So, I really don’t understand how you have the problems that you have!

    • @grandwonder5858
      @grandwonder5858 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      But the Piscifun reel is better, hands down! I know because I have both reels! Unlike some anti-China haters spreading hate about the reel he knows nothing about simply because it’s made by a Chinese company! FYI, the Americans used to attack anything that was made in Japan too because of the fear the Japanese companies would put the American companies out of business!
      Let’s put that aside and compare the reels for what they are! Piscifun is a really good company that sells quality products for half the prices or even less than half the prices that brand name companies sell for. And these inexpensive products that Piscifun sells are every bit as good as the stuff that the brand name companies sell, if not better! I guess this is why so many anti-China haters are out in full force to spread their propaganda against Piscifun fishing products! There’s nothing wrong with a company selling better products at a lower price! Regardless of where the company comes from!
      Now people with less money can afford quality rods and reels usually found with Shimano, Daiwa, etc for half the prices or less! Somebody told me Piscifun used to or is still making rods and reels for Shimano, Daiwa, etc so you know they have a lot of experience making quality fishing products so enough of this nonsense that anything coming from China is no good!
      Spend a few dollars more than the barest minimum you would find there are a ton of quality fishing reels at Aliexpress that are far more better than the reels you find at Walmart and even better than some of the ones you find at Bass Pro! Shoot, just on Piscifun reels alone I have bought 15 of its reels within the last 7 years, both for myself and as Christmas gifts! I have also bought rods and reels from other Chinese brands on Aliexpress and they all work fine! Caught the biggest striper I have ever caught from shore (28.35 pounds) with a Sougayilang reel with a Chinese lure that I also bought from Aliexpress! A similar quality reel from Penn would have cost me 4 times the price!
      FYI, the US government begged China to be a part of its space station because it is the finest space station in the world! The US also begged China to share its hypersonic missile technology with the American military so the idea that a Chinese company can’t make quality fishing reels is ludicrous! China has sent a few rovers to Mars and its astronauts to the dark side of the moon! So this idea that China’s technology isn’t good is outdated!

    My phantom casts farther than my other reels. I think it's because of the large spool that puts out a lot of line quickly. Plus the lightweight of the spool. I say it's a great buy at 70 bucks.

I tried piscifun spark pro and it casts better than $250.00 reel and zero backlash with the correct brake settings. Now I am more into Chinnesium reels ( thanks tackle advisor for the new word, lol ).

    Why do people always talm about how far a reel cast. That is only needed for covering lot of watter. 95% of fishing is not need a long cast. Not all reels are meant to cast really far. Some are for power. Some finesse, some torque, some speed it kills me when someone will say this reel is better it cast the farthest. Well in that case the Lews bb1 is the best baitcaster reel end of discussion. Get real people

    • @brpas

      Well said. Rating reels based on casting distance is similar to say that the best car is the fastest on 0-60mph. It may win a drag race, but doesn't mean that it is going to be the best on a circuit. Fishing is not only casting.

    Honestly not even surprised the Daiwa lost like that to the Phantom. SV Spool + Air braking limits that reel, and the SS SV line was notoriously over braked even compared to many of Daiwa's other reels with SV spools. I like the SV spool and use them on many of my reels, however I have a couple combos I have been removing it and just putting in a normal G1 spool. Wanting less SV spooled reels is also the reason I've been buying Steez A TW reels or trying to find NIB Steez EXs (which is my favorite reel ever).

    • @THEREELTEST

    I got my Phantom delivered this morning and I noticed the line guide seems a little loose. It makes a slight clicking sound as I reel it. Definitely coming from the line guide worm drive area. I can wiggle the line guide back and forth really easy. Did any of you have that same experience? Did you tighten that big flat head nut down on the line guide to fix this?

    The real test should be after a year of hard use, if it will still cast at all. As light weight parts might work good to start out but quickly turn into crap after a few months. I saw your review then I bought the Piscifun Phantom reel from Amazon and when I received it I put 30lb braided line onto the reel the line did not sit properly on the spool. The line was off to one side. The reel was obviously defective. The next day I contacted Piscifun customer service about the problem and they asked me to take pictures of the line on the reel and send it to them, which I did. Then they asked me if I could disassemble the reel and replace a some washer, I did not want to disassemble change out parts. So, I Asked if I could exchange my defective Phantom reel for a properly working reel. Piscifun asked me to ship them the defective reel first and pay out of my own pocket for shipment, and they told me NOT to return the reel to Amazon. By this time I had already spent my time and fishing line and money on the Piscifun Phantom reel which arrived defective. I also missed out of fishing time. Please beware when you buy Piscifun products they are not the quality you expect, and the Piscifun is not good at customer satisfaction. I ended up returning the Piscifun Phantom reel to Amazon.

I gently rinse it with water and even spray ardent reel guard on it. Abu Garcia black max I bought for $25 is still working fine after almost two years and not noisy. Shame because I really like the new reel but just not holding up to real world saltwater usage. I have caught tons of bay bass on it, macs, few Halibut and even a hefty Stingray. And you know this beside never owning a Piscifun reel in your life? Why are you so scared of Piscifun reels? Scared people are going to find out they are better than Penn reels despite selling at 1/4 of a Penn reel so that they would put Penn out of business? FYI, even Penn rods and reels are made in China!

      I have a Kastking Crixus reel that I bought in early spring of 2019 and I do love it. I keep it on my work truck to fish a ton of ponds in subdivisions when on the job(tile setter). I’ve beat the crap out of it, but do take it apart and clean it up every couple of months. My Abu Revo X is barely better than the Crixus but my 13 Fishing Concept Z and Shimano SLX DC smoke the Kastking. If I remember correctly it was like 50$ or so and it was worth it, to me, for that price.

      Stated by someone who likely shops at Walmart where 80%+ of their shelves are stocked with Chinese product. Did you use your made in China Apple phone to comment? Even American made product likely incorporates Chinese or foreign material. It's the American way--capitalism--go for the cheapest item, pay people as low as possible. China doesn't steal jobs. American firms leave America to make cheaper stuff to sell back to Americans. I laugh at all those MAGA hats that are made in China. Hahaha
