I think they may have made the spool heavier on purpose to make it easier to control with only the centrifugal breaks vs dual breaks on the older lighter spool .
The old Abu Skeet Reese was 110 and it was the best revo made imo for handle length. Definitely going to have to give these phantoms a try and I’m a Shimano guy
Looking at my Phantom X which is red I'd expect it to have a 7.6 ratio according to your video. However the reel shows a ratio of 5.3 on the side plate. How do I know what is correct, without measuring the amount of line taken in by one turn of the handle?
I own the original phantom and it is a really nice reel for the money. I also own two of the storm model spinning reels by Picifun. And let me tell you this you can't beat them in price point and performance. Sealed drag washers,6-3-1 gear ratio and really smooth retrieve. The handle is solid with no play. I have tried both Kastking and Picifun in both spinning and casting. Picifun wins with no contest. The Kastking reels feel apart. While Picifun delivers what they advertise.
Gotta say I love this channel. I bought both a Phantom, and a 6.3/1 Phantom X because of these reviews. I could not be happier with both purchases. They are inexpensive, but they are not "cheap". Both reels are so light I can fish much longer without becoming fatigued. Both are much lighter than the Shimano and the Abu Garcia reels I own. With Rods becoming incredibly light as well, I can enjoy a full day of fishing again. I am in my mid forties and have some arthritis in my hands and back. I actually prefer the way the Phantom X feels in my hand even though it is a little heavier. I am more accurate with the X and it feels a little more balanced, and sturdy. The handle on the Phantom X is AWESOME! One thing I would warn everyone about is the claimed drag on the reels. I would say the Phantom is more like 11-11.5 lb drag and the Phantom X is like 12-12.5 lb. Both those numbers are significantly less than what Piscifun claims. These reels are great for any normal bass fishing application, but I would not put either of them on a pool cue stiff rod and pitch super heavy cover. I would also warn against using them for larger swim baits. Finally, both reels need maintenance. Keep them oiled and greased. I think you will be happy if you choose one of these reels.

Got mine today i have the original phantom got to say the new phantom x is superb i spooled it up with 25LB spiderwire braid i thought well here we go wow it cast like a missile these things are fantastic i dont know how Piscifun do these awesome reels at these incredible prices but thank god they do this is worth every penny of your money thanks Piscifun for yet another quality reel ALien

I would like to share my filing about this reel Phantom X. I have received yesterday. This reel it is good looking . Right out the box got a problem. Side plate is flimsy didn't stay in place firmly. I have finished today on Hempstead lake. Nothing impressed me . Have to keep on setting 3 or 4 or some times 6. I don't know why every fisherman fro TH-cam talk about distance. I don't know why is my reel is a problem. Can't set on setting 2 to cast like 3/4 oz lures. I believe Pisciphun need improvement. But this is my filing.

I just bought 4 of these off of a friend of mine who fishes for Piscifun. Take them apart and compare them to any Lews or Abu garcia twice it’s price point. These Piscifun reels are no joke. Internally they are made much better than any of my mach series Lew’s reels. (Crush, mach 1 and mach 2) I was very impressed for the price you absolutely will not find a better made reel with the high dollar options these reels offer at this price point. And that’s coming from a MAJOR Lew’s fanboy....

Theres no real cons, they are light, crisp, sensitive enough. Wish they had a thicker handle though. I DO love my Expride. I have a new Expride A on backorder and will be doing a full review once I get it.
THE REEL TEST so if had had 180$ to spend on a rod then what would you recommend ( gloomis, Shimano, dobyns, daiwa, or st croix ) It may be in a way different price range but I am thinking about the SLX, FURY, E6X, and the ZODIAS out of these which would be the best bang for buck and would be good with my casitas? Sorry for asking so many questions but the people at my local tackle shop are completely biased Lews guys and if I ask anything they saw stuff like “get the Mach crush” but I kinda like the shimanos and the doybns

Ha! I have several piscifun reels because I originally had some of the ardents which were good reels. When I saw they were the same for 1/3 of the price I bought a few.

these reels come relatively dry so you have to keep them lubed , I love them.

Funny thing is both probably are from the same factory yet you can get all 3 Piscifun reels for the price of one Ardent C Force.

as far as color coding the entire reel maybe Kastking was the 1st. But Daiwa was the first to do color coding. Yellow, red, purple, and lime green
I always laugh when I see KastKing claiming the first color coded reel. I have had Daiwas for years that's been color coded.

I'm hoping they take the older phantom and put the upgrades in it...brass gears in particular.
The Phantom is with hardened aluminum gear, still strong enough for the tough bites.
