v sweet of you but I actually don't live here anymore. I moved a month after I posted this video and I knew I was moving otherwise I would have never shown so much!
kitchen in a separate room, two closets, top floor, renovated bathroom, shower with tub, all for $1500? that's an amazing find! you've made a fantastic use of the space!
Very well-presented! Instead of having someone stand there pointing and saying "I bought this at World Market", having the graphics that you do IS SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE SHOULD BE DOING IN A TOUR!, as well as the floor plan in the beginning!!!
I know you realize how lucky you are to have this apartment. Not only is it a large "studio", but to have the defined kitchen and the dressing room to make it seem like you are moving into actual different rooms. To get a sofa and a full size bed and still have room to walk around is pretty amazing. I love the vintage feel of the bathroom - the old tub and the curved surround of the shower is great - even with the "updated" tile. Wish they had stayed with something vintage, there, as well. $1500 seems like a lot until you see other options in other areas - and you are close to work and transportation! Really nice.
so lucky! But I really did look so hard I feel l like my hard work paid off. And I totally agree, I would have preferred a more "vintage" feel to the bathroom, but at least I have a tub! 🤗
I really like your sense of style. And the vintage pieces...well, I've always felt they hold some bit of the life they lived prior in them. So I think they give your home a vibrant character. :-)
That is one of the cutest NY apartments I have seen on youtube. I love the layout and the fact that you have 2 closets but it's your decorating that makes it so cozy and adorable. Thanks for sharing!
Hey girly , just to let you know I recognized where you live because my bf used to live down the block from you. Just becareful putting the door & number on your videos. There are crazy people out there. Sending so much love ❤️
Every time I watch home tours, the first thing I do is rearrange their furniture and decor in my head. I am very impressed with your style (just enough quirkiness, yet sensible, neat and tidy) and your arrangement. And I think you were lucky to snag this apartment as I could see my younger self living there. I am a 74 year old quilter/ decorator/ painter/ family genealogist/ crafter great-grandmother who still has a mortgage of $1500 for my 2300 sf house in Southern California. Thumbs up to you!
this apartment is actually worth the price - a lot of times youtubers are like "yeah it's got no toilet and I have to boil my own hot water but that's new york living!" This is quite reasonable - it's small, but you've done a great job with it; you really decorated it to flatter the space - it's cozy and also roomy. Hard combo to accomplish! thanks for showing ur home :)
Tiling the entire bathroom is genius -- no painting for the landlord -- ever again -- and so easy to clean between tenants. Not to mention easy for you to keep clean as well. Beautiful use of space.
I agree! It just all fits together very harmoniously, and there seems to be so much natural light in there! Or you’ve done a good job with lighting for the video :-) A beautiful haven!
WOW!!! I think you did an amazing job, and the price is not that bad! Here in the midwest apartment costs have risen dramatically, and you can find a moderate one bedroom for $1500. Yours is full of charm and character, and having a separate kitchen is wonderful! Your decorating is impeccable. You should think about doing that professionally! Everything you put together produced a very inviting and cozy place to live.
This must be the most creative and entertaining appartment tour I've seen so far. You didn't try to show everything single item you own instead you just gave us a glimpse of your vibe. Your little shangri-la! Thank you 💕
New Yorker here. You got a great deal for a really nice studio. Legit. Also want to say that your design sense is excellent. And btw, a separate kitchen is an important point in a studio, even tho that wasn't on your 'musts' list. Your kitchen is not small for a studio at all, even a smaller 1br. And it even has room for a table! Really nice apt, really nice decorating and well done video!
I think she super lucked out. Studios around Boston are about $1500 and are typically smaller, so to get one in NYC (which is usually more expensive) is a real steal!
Nice area and Apartment Building For the price she pays for rent is a good deal. Anytime you find a place that big under 2,000 in NY,you are really fortunate.
Your appartement is an inspiration on how to make a place cozy! I just got my first appartement about 6 months ago and I'm still making it a home... watching vids like these really help! So thank you♡
sry for the late reply but ty! It's so fun decoring your own space isn't it? And take your time, you don't need to fill it all in a few weeks. It's fun collecting new pieces throughout the years!
Nice place. NYC has cheaper rentals now, in Manhattan, for $1k and $1.3k. Many people have moved back to suburbs and out-of-state and they need people to rent those spots. I could not believe seeing a decent size studio in Manhattan for $1,300. No bathtub though, but everything looked new.
I love how you edited this video. Very nice and easy to follow and I’m a visual person so the little blueprint with the footsteps really helped me get a feel of the place so much more
girl you don't have to justify why your apartment is "small", your kitchen for example I think its huge and you've decorated the space with amazing pieces. !
I pay $1685 for a 800+ sq ft in brooklyn flatbush. Been here for 5 years now, rent stablelized. Your home is so beautiful, it's "cheap" for BK. But now due to the pandemic you can get a one bedroom or studio for $1650.
coming from a New Yorker born, raised, and still living here you got an amaaaaaaazing deal. I mean seriously. And the way you decorated the space is absolutely beautiful as well
What a charming, cozy, welcoming home! I especially liked your branch with the dried flower bunches, your great bed and your kitchen table which was a perfect size for the space.
Lol I was just about to point out the “koreatown” thing when I read her description. Sunset park is considered Brooklyn’s Chinatown especially if you are near 8th ave. The whole strip is Chinese. Actually when you said koreatown I was really surprised because that part of Brooklyn doesn’t have many Koreans or even restaurants. I’d give your nyc native friends the benefit of the doubt and say they’re probably not from Brooklyn and/or aren’t Asian
@@brooklynbloom It's crazy how many Brooklyn locals and actual New Yorkers I know are familiar with their neighborhood's true history and demographics. So weird! This is by far the best apartment tour I've ever seen on YT! First, I LOVE it that you didn't feel compelled to mention every single item in your space (some people even tell you where they bought each bottle of nail polish for pity's sake!), but you did label where you got some key pieces. Brilliant! I also LOVE your attention to detail! When I saw the branches holding your flower collection, and the little knobs you hung them up with on the wall, it solved a problem that's been bugging me in my bedroom. Thank you for a really great video!
Eeek tysm! I’m so v glad that u enjoyed it. I really did try hard to make it not boring. And I’m so glad I have u some ideas. Hopefully my next videos will inspire you some more! 🤗
What a cute video. Thank you for not opening up every cabinet and explanining where you got EVERYTHING in your apartment, what you included was just perfect. I have never lived in NYC but I think that you found a great deal for what you pay for this lovely space. Where do you do your laundry? The decor is just lovely.
I’m so happy you enjoyed it! I really tried to make it not possible boring ☺️ Luckily ther are lots of laundromats in NY so I have a few on my block I go to
Do not be ashamed of dumpster diving! I have aquired some pretty awesome pieces of furniture that way. I also have revamped some of them for a pretty good profit!
It's fairly roomy for a studio, and you've made good use of each space. An apartment like this in Manhattan, if you could find one, would be $1,000 more. I don't understand people who insist on being in Manhattan when there are places like this just two or three subway stops away for substantially less money. I'd say you made some good choices.
I am living alone in a larger apartment in a small “city“ in Germany, and pay a fraction of that price! Your price is actually about my monthly income, sometimes more 😄. This world is so varied! Pretty fun
I love what you've done. Living in NYC has taught me that having a ton of space isn't everything. Buying only things you love and keeping organized will make a studio feel way more comfortable than having a house full of useless trinkets. I'm moving on my own in April and I've been eyeing things on StreetEasy, hope the market stays favorable then 🤞
I've seen so many New York apartment tours and this is the first one I've seen where I've said "I could do this!" Honestly, the space is relatively big and your kitchen is sooo cute! What an incredible find, you got super lucky!
shoutout to youtube for recommending me your video 😀 this is quality content. the editing, shots, music, voice over, aesthetic? wow. perfection. looking forward to seeing more videos from you! ♥️
Daisy Doroteo okay, ur like way too nice ☺️ Tysm for the sweet words and noticing all my hard work I put into this video! I will def be posting more so I hope you like my next videos as well
I love what you have done in your space. Your kitchen is small but beautifully decorated. And your bed, I absolutely love. The vintage looks great in your studio. Great job!
I don’t know much about NYC or it’s apartment hunting scene, but I think you utilized your space and made the most of it. I love your decor and your video filming/editing.
Her place is really beautifully curated. It’s funny to me though that she thinks that bathroom is “typical” for New York 😂 I hope she doesn’t ever give up this goldmine of a place!
If that apartment had been decorated with your decor it would have doubled in price. You scored by having the top floor, balcony, private bathroom and kitchen. I love it.
There is nothing nicer than collecting objects and furniture that has had another life! I have collected this way since I was young in the eighties. Vintage to me is anything from the 60s back ( back then they called it ‘second hand’ and was frowned upon). I find it strange that my daughter is wearing my clothes from the eighties and calls them vintage. It seems like yesterday to me😂😂 and little does she know is a lot of those clothes are older than that and I’m so glad she wants them. You have a beautiful home. I wish you health and happiness to enjoy it. I like nothing better than championing the young to be independent in living and mind. ❤️ Thank you for sharing because this pandemic has isolated a lot of us and it’s a way to visit others homes if only through the lens. ❤️
this so sweet! Im the same, I love collecting items that have belonged to someone else and well honestly, have already had a life before I found them! Its so fun going into a shop and not knowing what you'll find. Sometimes its a gem but not always. Cute your daughter enjoys your old clothes. Could be worse and she could hate them right?! So glad you enjoyed my video (:
This place is so cute! I always pictured New York studios being tiny little living room sized apartments without anything sectioned off like the way your kitchen is. In Texas, I paid $525 a month for a studio with a huge walk in closet, bathroom and kitchen sectioned off. It wasn’t the nicest place but now I’m in a 2 bed, 2 bath with washer and dryer included for $860 a month. Crazy the world of differences that region brings
This apt is gorgeous! And I think you're getting a lot of bang for your buck. Wonderful design & an at-home feel that is in no way cluttered. I love the attitude of getting rid of something when getting something new, cuz "I've enjoyed this, maybe someone else will enjoy it too." Common generosity amongst millennials that I think gets overlooked by the generation with the philosophy of "he who dies with the most toys, wins!" P.S.-- your kitchen is a perfectly good size for cooking 😁
That is a really good deal. I would be paying this price in Melbourne (Oz) let alone Brooklyn. The kitchen and bathroom are in good condition and you have a little outdoor space (kind of), top floor, old world charm and a good neighborhood. And a bath! You have great taste; thoroughly enjoyed this.
awww ty! I feel it's a good deal for all the things I'm getting, just like you mentioned! And I'm so glad you like it. I love Melbourne and I have family in Sydney!
I love how you decorated your apartment. Even though it's been two years since you uploaded this video, rents in the suburbs were pretty comparable or higher. If you want to live in the Big Apple, you have to sacrifice space. If you want to live in the suburbs, you're going to pay about as much or more plus you will probably need a car. You made the most of your place and you did a fabulous job. I live in a house and I go to the dump's Take it or Leave It shop for plastic storage units for the basement and garage and to Goodwill for bargains.
I grew up in NYC and wow, what a great location, size, etc for the price!! And the separate kitchen space and bathtub... what a steal! You did an excellent job decorating it too! Going to build something similar on the Sims. Thank you for the inspiration! Subscribed right away!!
I adore your style, you inspire me to incorporate more antique items to my decor. I'm currently in the process of moving (alone for the first time!) and my new place feels a little soulless with everything being brand new, and I want it to feel like a home, like yours does :)
aww this makes me so happy! i remember moving into my own place for the first time, it can def feel a little overwhelming trying to decorate the whole place. Just take it one room, even one wall at a time. No need to get it done all at once. Especially when you incorporate more vintage items, those can take a little longer to find but are def worth it once you do.
I don't live in NY but from what I've seen on line, this is an amazing deal. So many I've seen, in the bigger buildings, don't have the full bath. I think they get a toilet and sink and the showers are shared.
girl got this kickass studio-thats-barely-a-studio apartment for $1500/mo in NYC meanwhile I can barely find a shoebox sized studio in my lil city in MANITOBA, CANADA for less than that 😭😭 tell me your secret !!
i was studio hunting in manhattan only (because i can't afford too much commute time) and i think your apartment is an amazing deal for all that it offers! and you decorated it so well! it gives such a warm and comfortable vibe.
This apartment is super cute and cozy. I love that arch above the shower. Your bed placement is great. I would look forward to coming home everyday if I lived there.
I miss living in Brooklyn! I practically furnished my whole apartment with stuff I found that was being thrown away! I was lucky to have a separate kitchen in my studio too. Your apartment is beautiful! I too, am grossed out by carpet. You never know when and IF it has been cleaned recently. I love radiators as well. In my last Brooklyn apartment, I painted my radiator pink.
OMG your apartment is SUCH a great find! So much storage and separation - I would kill for that space for that price! Also I laughed so hard about your hardwood floors comment, because I feel the exact same way - carpet is gross 🤢
That’s an amazing price to live in New York! I think a lot of people forget that you’re not just paying for the living space you’re also paying for the location, for example in Kentucky (where I live) we don’t have a big demand for our location so houses are cheaper. So with $1500 a month in Kentucky can get you a two story, 4 bed maybe 5 bed, 2 bath, and decent sized kitchen and living room, but in places like New York, Florida, and California you’d be paying so much more for that size of house.
I don't think she knows what a gold mine apartment she has for this price in NYC! 🖤
oh I do! hehe 🤗 sooo lucky to have this lil place but I looked high and low for her!
@@brooklynbloom ❤❤❤❤ You're very wise for your age! Honestly.

I live in Brooklyn NYC. This studio is a gem. I love the bathroom.
i really really love your apartment!! i would love to live in a studio like that.
Thank you! I def dont have much left over when rent is due but I still love it 😊
I've seen so many New York apartment tours and this is the first one I've seen where I've said "I could do this!"
Honestly, the space is relatively big and your kitchen is sooo cute! What an incredible find, you got super lucky!
awww ty! i def lucked out 😊
This place is amazing. You have wonderful taste and an eye for how to arrange your treasures.
Thank you so much!
dang as someone who lives in a ~350 square foot studio, i'm hard-pressed to believe that space is actually 250! really great space, and amazing price
i've never actually checked the sq ft but thats what they told me when i moved in. I think in the video it looks bigger than in person which is weird!
shoutout to youtube for recommending me your video 😀 this is quality content. the editing, shots, music, voice over, aesthetic? wow. perfection. looking forward to seeing more videos from you!
Great job!
knowing nothing abt new york, i think it's so expensive but you decorated it BEAUTIFULLY and so personal so it's worth it
tysm! it def is sooo expensive but weirdly worth it!
I live in a one bedroom apt on Long Island and I pay 2,185 😵💫😵💫
@@AmandaDemike what!?! Wow, that’s a lot. But at least u have a separate bedroom!
I actually like this tour, it’s to the point and your personality is really engaging and inviting and not trying to hard to be trendy
tysm! def what I was going for (:
I don’t know much about NYC or it’s apartment hunting scene, but I think you utilized your space and made the most of it. I love your decor and your video filming/editing.
aww thanks! really so happy you enjoyed it
Her place is really beautifully curated. It’s funny to me though that she thinks that bathroom is “typical” for New York 😂 I hope she doesn’t ever give up this goldmine of a place!
I have yet to see a larger bathroom in NYC, but im sure the exist in like fancy houses 😂
@@brooklynbloom Good point 😜
Loved how you edited this video, your aesthetic is similar to what I am striving to have with my apartment.
josh elli tysm! I found lots of my stuff in the garbage or thrift stores so you don’t need to spend too much to make it look nice. Good luck! 🤗
You are a kindred spirit. You are fortunate to find such a nice place for 1500 in NY!
If that apartment had been decorated with your decor it would have doubled in price. You scored by having the top floor, balcony, private bathroom and kitchen. I love it.
Ty and I def agree!
This is a steal for $1500, your landlord is a saint.
agreed! It's a mom and son who own the building and they really are the sweetest
Me and my boyfriend live of 1500€ in total over here in Germany. We pay 400€ rent for 45sqm. It's insane how expensive it is to live in New York. 😱
This place is so cute. I think everyone gives their home love and respect it will bounce back 4X. No matter how new or small
This apt is gorgeous! And I think you're getting a lot of bang for your buck. Wonderful design & an at-home feel that is in no way cluttered. I love the attitude of getting rid of something when getting something new, cuz "I've enjoyed this, maybe someone else will enjoy it too." Common generosity amongst millennials that I think gets overlooked by the generation with the philosophy of "he who dies with the most toys, wins!"
P.S.-- your kitchen is a perfectly good size for cooking 😁
aww thank you so v much for the sweet comment! I’d also like to think I’m getting a good deal and agree, the kitchen is pretty great.
Love your apartment and your editing.. i love watching studio tours. They are fun to see how people decorate them.
I grew up in NYC and wow, what a great location, size, etc for the price!! And the separate kitchen space and bathtub... what a steal! You did an excellent job decorating it too! Going to build something similar on the Sims. Thank you for the inspiration! Subscribed right away!!
I was just thinking I should build something like this in the sims!
awww tysm! so glad i could inspire you 😊 do you still live in nyc?
So nicely decorated , love the vintage vibes ❤
I adore your style, you inspire me to incorporate more antique items to my decor. I'm currently in the process of moving (alone for the first time!) and my new place feels a little soulless with everything being brand new, and I want it to feel like a home, like yours does :)
aww this makes me so happy! i remember moving into my own place for the first time, it can def feel a little overwhelming trying to decorate the whole place. Just take it one room, even one wall at a time. No need to get it done all at once. Especially when you incorporate more vintage items, those can take a little longer to find but are def worth it once you do.
I like how you showed it with a floor plan
aww ty! hope it made it a bit easier to understand
ADORABLE! The apartment and you! I think you've got a heck of a deal and should count yourself extremely LUCKY/BLESSED.
Please make more NYC content! What do you do for a living, how to meet people, overall advice young people moving there alone, etc.
I jus posted a video about 12 things I wish I knew before moving to NYC. Hope that helps a bit!
I don't live in NY but from what I've seen on line, this is an amazing deal.
So many I've seen, in the bigger buildings, don't have the full bath. I think they get a toilet and sink and the showers are shared.
You’ve done such a beautiful job with you space! Very warm and inviting
I love it. You used the space so well. It does not look crowded, but airy. Great for the price. Gem in NY
thanks! I def love my stuff but try to keep it semi organized
girl got this kickass studio-thats-barely-a-studio apartment for $1500/mo in NYC meanwhile I can barely find a shoebox sized studio in my lil city in MANITOBA, CANADA for less than that 😭😭 tell me your secret !!
i was studio hunting in manhattan only (because i can't afford too much commute time) and i think your apartment is an amazing deal for all that it offers! and you decorated it so well! it gives such a warm and comfortable vibe.
This is so homely....this place is definitely the kind of place I would love to live in!!
Gayatri Garud, I think you mean homey. Homely means a little ugly. Haha
Your studio is really cute. Also you did a good job on this video. I really enjoyed it.
awww tysm! 🤗
I’m paying the same exact rent for an unrenovated NYC dump. This is a gem. You’ve made this a treasure- enjoy it.
ah damn! I feel you thou, it's so hard to find a semi decent affordable place in nyc
This apartment is super cute and cozy. I love that arch above the shower. Your bed placement is great. I would look forward to coming home everyday if I lived there.
good eyes on that arch! I also love it, very unique 💕
I like radiator heating, it is good for your health. When hot air blows and circulates my skin gets dry, unhealthy, and cracks sometimes.
right?!
I think it’s pretty good size. You have it decorated so cute! Love your bed!
Omg! I live in your neighborhood. I pay $750 for a room but this is my new inspo after I finish grad school.
awww well hello neighbor! 👋
Sounds like we coujld have been good friends! So much good stuff in the NYC that gets toseed out, it's crazy
I love what you've done with your space. You are so creative and have such a good eye for making the space feel homey and beautiful.
This apartment is so so well-decorated and the videography is top notch 😭💞 and you have such a lovely voice I’m in awe at it all
I agree!!! Perfect and to the point 💜
ekk ur way to kind, but ty!
Absolutely the best apartment tour I’ve seen! Wish I had your talent for decorating!
Tysm!
Very nicely decorated and charming presentation. Thank you.
the organization of the video is everything I live for!
OMG your apartment is SUCH a great find! So much storage and separation - I would kill for that space for that price! Also I laughed so hard about your hardwood floors comment, because I feel the exact same way - carpet is gross 🤢
hehe thanks! I do love my lil space. Omg carpet, kill me!!
Your apartment is amazing and you decorate so well I would love to live there
