The floors and the dealers have no clue what they are doing. Somebody should tell Jack Effel to stop focusing on his body and concentrate on his poorly trained employees.

The floor can only rely on what the dealer told him so the dealer was the only one who got it wrong. Mark admitted he got flustered though and he had 20 seconds but chose to plead and whine rather than make the call. You could probably draw a parallel between this and an athlete getting a technical foul for whining to a ref. Mark really fucked himself over when he could've easily called and had plenty of time.

Nah, folding 88 and AQ to 3 bets is standard, unless you have a read or the player has been overly aggressive. Plus, you don't understand the chip situation. The 2 biggest stacks in a tournament this early, are not supposed to clash like this. Both had chips to catapult them into a deep run in the event. He was dealing with a wild and Inexperienced player, he had every right to take his time with the decision*

50% of dealers inside poker room or casinos are terrible dealers. some dealers like to socialize more on the table than players. some can't shuffle or riffle correctly. some dealers have built up negative energy towards certain players due to various reasons maybe like, the way the player folded his cards or said something weird to the dealer. If floormen are only going to consult a dealer to make their final decision then most poker players would be screwed over in the long run. its Poker lolz

Having thought about my playing style - quick, when I do have to think about a decision, I am going over the betting action v opponent's history as the cards have already done their talking. I think 90 seconds is a fair amount of time to allow for a decision if you want to push the action. I don't think I have ever called clock on a person in 20 years of playing. Whether you agree with calling clock or not, I do appreciate that the player offered an apology to ease the tension moving forward at the table. And from other comments and video, it seems that the players have played together in the past.

Funny how descriptive Mark is in saying what the floor said to him but then just glances over things he said with "I said some things I shouldn't have said". Saying "calm down buddy I hope you're not burnt out 3 weeks into the series" is pretty condescending on its own and I'd imagine that wasn't the only disrespectful thing he said. Not defending the floor's action but definitely seems like Mark isn't as innocent as he's implying.

It reports gross cashes not net cashes. He might not even be up lifetime in tournaments and I'd bet good money he's down in the last 10 years in them.
This is would be a terrible fold at a final table. It's an abomination with 80 something people left.
You don't 3 bet AQs to then bet the flop with 2 overs and flush draw to fold with half your stack in their already
And ICM with this many players left means nothing. You don't win tournaments like this.
There isn't a good player in the world who bet folds this flop .

After 90 seconds I would say that’s enough time to call the clock. You should be given a minute though unless you are doing this all the time. It’s a tournament, I’m probably going to call the clock too at 90 seconds. I have no issues doing this is a big pot cash game either but you should give the guy a minute from when it is called. One old guy I play with often he does this on purpose for his advantage he’ll sit there for fifteen minutes if you’ll let him. At $2/5 cash for $1000 so yeah even if I’m not in the pot I’ll still call clock on a guy like that after a minute. And in a wsop tourney I’d call clock on anyone after a minute. Buddy was well within his rights to do so and I don’t blame him whatsoever. I like playing 20 hands an hour. Not 3.
