  • Intense Rugby Speed Agility and Cardio Session. If you love your rugby and want to level up, try this rugby session out. This session has a warm up, Speed, Agility and Cardio Component that you can do. If you have access to agility ladder and some cones that's great but isnt absolutely necessary.
    In this video I will show you a warm up plus a speed block. Then 4 great agility ladder drills, and then explain how we can create our own agility drills as well as providing you with 4 extra drill examples. Finally we finish off with some cardio!
    Try these out and let me know what you think!

    Like how you place importance on your joints and keeping them in mind particular, ankles and knees and also making good progression into explosive stuff. Love. the goals mindset.

    I just joined mens rugby. I've been looking for a great rugby training channel and this is it. I would love if you could recommend a program for me also. But I definitely think your channel is underrated

    Thanks, bro. Makes things easy these little things. I'm working on my 12 yr old. He's a loose forward and pretty tall for a 12 yr old. I like what you said. They need to hit their top speed every week else they lose it. Thanks

    Can you make a Speed and Agility video for Props ? Also what type of plyometrics they should be doing because of the heavier weight props tend to have.
    Cheers

    Nice vid mate. Also currently trying to get the bronco score down. Have been doing 5 single reps and aiming for under 1 minute. I started with one minute rest, and have been decreasing the rest by ten seconds each week. Do you reckon it's better to now add in extra reps or just keep decreasing the rest time each week? Current bronco is 5.38 (105kg backrower) so want to get her down for preseason in July!

      beast!
      I would say keep the rest at least 70% of your work time. But start to sync your reps. so 2 reps in under 2 minutes x3 then 3reps in under 3 x2

    • @AxeRugby
      @AxeRugby  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah mate props should be training cardio like the rest of the squad. The requirements/ pass mark may be less

    How many reps should I do of the agility drills? And how much rest should be taken between reps?

    • @AxeRugby
      @AxeRugby  ปีที่แล้ว
