    @luke trharne Overload from comments from me over the last few days. Loving the videos. Close up's allow us to see the technique, slow mo's do that even more and the talk through and write ups are awesome too.
    Really great content and whomever is building the videos for you is doing a great job too (if that's you too then kudos to you)

    I will be using some of the ideas from this for speed acceleration.Thanks.

    What is the reason for holding the ball with both hands in a neutral position when sprinting rather than tucking the ball?

    • @luketreharneTi7s
      @luketreharneTi7s  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question Michael! When you have the ball in two hands you have lots of options as an attacker. You can pass either way, kick the ball, throw a dummy or keep running. When you tuck the ball you can run quicker but you don't have the same options. So particularly in 7s we want to run with the ball in 2 hands to make it as difficult for the defender to know what we are doing. Once you are in space then you can always tuck to give you that extra boost to the try line.

    Just found your channel. Your editing is great and your content is very helpful mate. I play 15s and I play at 9 but also at 12 sometimes, could you maybe show some advanced passing mechanics (a bit more advanced than your previous video)?

      @@luketreharneTi7s could you maybe one day do a video on how to build strength like especially in your legs like to keep you running hard in a game just essentially building some good strong muscle endurance

    • @luketreharneTi7s
      @luketreharneTi7s  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@lazlynapril2217 so the key to this is to be consistent with your running over a sustained period of time. If you could manage 4 decent running sessions a week for 3 to 4 months and gradually increase the number of reps or intensity, your running capacity will increase dramatically. And this is what will keep you going hard during games.
      We also plan to do some weight based sessions in the future 😊

      @@lazlynapril2217 not necessarily, you could do a speed session and add a few sets of running fitness at the end. So I personally still do fitness on Mondays and Thursdays and then speed on Tuesdays and Fridays but with some extra fitness added in 😁

      You could have little bits of each in the sessions yes but you want to make sure that the quality of each rep is maintained.

      Hey Clyde, apologies just picking this up now. If you've been out for a while I would suggest really taking your time for this. Start with small volumes and gradually increase it up. Make sure you're recovering well with sleep and nutrition. We have a running plan for sale on our Instagram page if this might be of interest to you.
