Thanks for the review. Sorry to hear there were so many issues but some of them you’ve addressed. I was surprised it.cost $139, Kala makes some costlier instruments that look pretty good. The unbalanced signal between strings is a headscratcher. Is it an under saddle pickup or just a poorly-placed contact mic? Good luck.
Thanks for the comment. I am not sure where the pickup is actually located. I am gonna have to dig in a bit to see. Thanks again for watching the review.
I gotta say, I ordered the baritone version of this uke last year and I have no issues like what you're experiencing. I love this thing, sounds great frets are NOT sharp whatsoever, preamp works great. Granted I ordered this directly from the Kala website, the majority of my ukes are kala and I love them. Its unfortunate this was your first uke experience.
Whoops I júst bought this tenor five minutes ago 😂 I hope I get a good one ‘cause I’m a complete noob, I’m not filing down stuff…😅 but I’m glad to hear the company does reply and works with their customers
Hey thanks for checking out my review. I really hated to have to make a negative review about this one. I had heard good things. It could be that I just go one with issues that slipped through the process. Sweetwater and Kayla both offered to take it back. My biggest issue is the pickup not functioning properly. Still haven’t get that repaired. Good luck with yours. If you think about it, come back and let me know how it turns out for you. Thanks again for taking time to watch and comment.
I'll start by saying I'm sorry you're first ukulele experience was so bad buying an instrument from a box store not the best thing to do shops will do a set up as well as inspect it before selling it everyone's budget dictates what they can afford but at that price point what did you expect you should have got an enya other people reading this do some research buy from a shop set ups everything best place to buy on line the ukulele site watch some reviews/did you replace your saddle the some way you took it out
Thanks for the sound advice and recommendation. I agree and even mentioned in my review that the model I purchased was not a higher end instrument, however I do believe that it should have e been somewhat better than what I received. Just some very basic expectations such as…. Tuning key heads that are secure, and electronics that function properly. Not too much to expect. I can deal with the rest. I also agree that spending a few more dollars to get a better instrument is great advice. Thanks again for the comment and for checking out my review.
