26 year music educator here. Just started teaching ukulele to third fourth and fifth graders. I bought the Kala KA with the pick up. No complaints here for the price I think it’s amazing. I’d love to know what method series I should use as an adult to up my game. Obviously, I’m willing to put in the time.
All the affordable ones are the same brand unfortunately. I've been playing Ohana ukuleles. I wonder if it's common to stick with the same brand while learning to play and still at our first step up. when I was ready to get to the $700 price point I looked outside the brand I'd been playing because I knew more about ukuleles and wasn't so afraid of making a bad choice.
Oh yes the "Lava" chords

Thanks for this video. I hope you also do a tutorial on the tune you played on all the ukes.
I have a growing collection in various sizes and I'm just thinking of adding a 5 string to it!
One thing you didn't mention was whether the same strings were on each ukulele. It was hard to tell from the video.
Kamaka, Kanile'a, Koaloha, Ko'olau... who is the 5th K?
Good video....I'm sure the cheapest one's are laminates and not solid wood.......the sound also greatly depends on the skill of the player....💕

Hmm, intonation and sustain very poor on the cheapest. I would not call it great.
