Hey what products do you use. I paint my pet portraits but getting abit bored of it . The works don't have a good variety and not really sure where to start. Do I use pastels and pencils or pastel only
For this portrait, I just used pastel pencils. I am using a mixture of Carbothello, Pitt, Derwent & Caran d'ache. The Carbothello set are a nice one to start with but the paper makes the most difference. Pastelmat allows for the best techniques and is the most forgiving.
