They're collecting dust now. I noticed that some artists apply color pencils over pastels for the details. I may give it a shot since I have so many color pencils.

No - I don’t use any fixatives. They always ruin the artworks, just store with glassine paper on top or frame asap with a picture mount between artwork and glass 😊

Thank you, I appreciate it! I’m not too sure about charcoal as I don’t mix it with my pastels personally, but the Creta Color black chalk pencil is the deepest black pencil I use for my pastel artworks 😊
