Meet the Brabus G700!
It’s an absolutely raucous, in-your-face version of the regular AMG G63. The question is, is it an improvement over the regular G-wagon? And does it warrant the eye-watering £300,000 starting price?!
For starters, let’s check out the design. As with any Brabus, it comes with even wider wheel arches than the standard G and redesigned front and rear bumpers. It also comes with several Brabus badges in place of where you would normally find a Mercedes 3-pointed star, and there are a whole load of fake vents around the wheel arches, as well as a huge scoop on the bonnet that leads absolutely nowhere!
Step inside and the G700 is all pretty similar to the regular G63. The only difference you’ll find are the green inserts on the seats, as well as many Brabus logos throughout. But otherwise, you wouldn’t know you're in a Brabus instead of an AMG!
One area where there’s been a big change is the engine! Under the bonnet, you’ll still find a a 4-litre twin-turbo V8, but it’s had a new ECU fitted, so as a result it now puts down 700h and 950Nm! This power is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
So it’s about as in-your-face as it gets, but is it really worth around £100,000 more than a regular AMG G63? You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself!

The exhaust pipes on the original are beautiful, why replace them with ugly ones that look old and damaged 😂

they do look nice, just needs some cleaning, it’s about making it look raw and aggressive. Old Brabus mercs used to have 2 angled raw looking pipes. I think it looks good.

Not really i think some of their cars are amazing and it really adds that special tone to them but for some of them like this g63 are not so good but you gotta remember its the owners choice to either send their car to them or not

They used to be a cool company but than they got a taste of the big money that can be made supplying tasteless ego boosters to styleless people with deep pockets.

Mansory ruins about 99% of their cars and Brabus with their excessive branding and fake vents are ridiculous, but Brabus actually have a few models that are improved over a "regular" AMG.
Brabus EV12 w211 was pinnacle brabus, everything after is mansory level tripe

I had the 800 upgrade on mine. The great thing is, that if the upgrade is installed before the car is registered, then Brabus covers the driveline like Mercedes would.
The sound is the way to my heart and hence one of the reasons why I have a GL 63 AMG; not to mention it feels special inside and out. It too has the wheelie sensation which feels plain nuts; an energy that belies its relative subtlety

I have Vresdestein all season tires and they are awesome. Quiet, amazing in rain, snow rated, comfortable while driving as well.

The G Wagon always looked like something industrial from the 80's anyway so it could not be helped. That carbon fibre vent on the bonnet looks like something from Temu 😅😂
Thats because it is from the 80s😂 it's been offered by Mercedes as a civilian model since 1979 and the design has basically not changed since. It was actually developed as a military vehicle since 1973 so technically it's actually from the 70s. A very long time for a car to be in production

It's only a "700" model and still lots of black plastic bits, that's the model for soccer players that play in 2nd division. The 1st division players have at least an "800" model with all carbon fiber bits and a bright orange interior and if they're really good they might even have the "900 rocket" model with a Tiffany blue interior and extra Mansory crap all over. 😅😂😂

700 refers to the brabus engine upgrade you went for not the bodykit or the “plastic bits”. 700 being the lowest (just a tune) for 7 grand then 800 for 24 grand and a 900 engine upgrade for 95 grand. This car is fairly well specced, it has the brabus widestar kit ( 24 grand for just the fenders) but no bespoke interior

Every time a performance benz lets off the throttle it sounds like a hole opened in the middle of the cylinders and like everything is out of balance. Its like putters out when you lift off the throttle in a way that no other car does.

Green Hell Magno paint is exclusive for AMG GT-R. So Brabus made their own slightly different version or get permission for original paint colour from Mercedes.

Almost all cars with LED headlights have the condensation problem because the LEDs do not get hot like the regular light bulbs ;-) There should be a vent system to heat them with the heat of the engine or something! Problem solved. But that's just my opinion...
I think manufacturers should start thinking for a solution to that problem. It's ridiculous given the money cars cost these days

Green hell magno was first used on the Mercedes AMG GT-R, I’ve only ever seen it on that, once. Very rare colour tbh.

It's a shame the new G63s have now been recalled and discontinued until they can find a solution to the premature rusting issues that will send the car to the scrap yard quicker than the car can do 0-60 mph.
It looks amazing and before you say something, You have to see it with your own eyes. There is also one (thats 1of1) with green interior and a “1” numberplate. Its in Turkey in our garage right now and looks tuff

It's not that simple.
It is fully legal in the EU. But what is much more important, Brabus cover the driveline warranty instead of Mercedes. That is what you also pay for. Sure some "tuner" can do something similar, but then you are on your own and hopefully won't get pulled over and asked to do an emissions test.

Tbh, 100K more over a stock G63 is a bit of an insane markup for what you really get. I was pretty disappointed to see all the fake vents though. Could've made them actually assist the vehicle rather than look like cheap plastic.
