I agree with the honourable Jim Bolger, Winston Peters has the experience to be a Deputy PM to hit the ground running. Our country needs to form a stable government, so I would hope that the most qualified person would get the job. The reality is the job requires huge input and energy which increasingly diminishes in our 70s (from experience). Experience helps but is not enough.
