Dalton loved the character and played him perfectly. I definitely prefer him to Daniel Craig, Craig's lacking in the class and suaveness which Dalton had.

Interesting how Pierce Brosnan committed to this role, did all the negotiations, and MGM screwed him over with Remington Steele, Timothy Dalton did an excellent job in this movie though, a great Bond
I think Dalton was the right Bond but at the wrong time. His serious take on the role was so different from Moore's light hearted portrayal. I don't think audiences were ready for it.

The Living Daylights was a brilliant bond film 10/10 with Tim at his very best as Bond...shame about the follow up Licence to Kill, as it was nowhere near as good, like many of you I would've liked Dalton to have done 4 Bonds.
