Well if he worked for intelligence, he's probably a lot more boring and lives on a whimpey estate with a typewriter, but jokes aside - yes he was undoubtably the best Bond
@@joegrimes9232well it’s funny you would mention that because in moonraker it’s revealed that when he’s not on an assignment he actually is stuck at the office reading files and paperwork
Dalton is my favorite by a large margin. His portrayal and his films stand the test of time. Dalton’s Bond is timeless. All the rest are time capsules.
Dalton not just a pretty face, he is a superb actor and a highly intelligent man. I'll bet he was a good student a school. Can't understand how he escaped some woman's permanent clutches. He played some of the most famous characters in classical English literature and to this day I have NEVER seen any actor deliver a better performance in the same role. A truly talented man who in my opinion didn't receive the real recognition he deserved. Looking at him here he is also clearly a humble man, why would he say "Jesus Christ I'm terrified". Why is it the true greats, are not aware of their own greatness. Elvis Presley was like that too. Thank you for this video......Dalton ... A mega talent who graced us by both stage and screen. Thank you, Timothy Dalton, for your marvellous body of work.
In my view Timothy Dalton is the best James bond.watch his performance then read ian Flemings books.he was the bond that Fleming wrote.a great actor who brought real emotion to bond.very much ahead of his time.
Roger Moore is my favorite and maybe most humorous bond ever, Moore's was most comic about bond, other aren't so, in my angle, Roger Moore is best bond ever.
King Diamond Moore started off fine, peaked with Spy Who Loved Me, and then got too long in the tooth with the camp and the puns. Dalton was a breath of fresh air and ten times more realistic.
Good grief does this man know how unbelievably good looking he is? He just rocks up looking so suave and smooth! I would seriously swoon if he walked up to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
My favourite Bond. From a purely nostalgic point of view, he was my first foray into the world of 007. But also because he brought Bond back to the old school, because as much as Roger Moore was fantastic in the role, Moore had interpreted the role much differently, and strayed away from the books. He also was completely different from Sean Connery's hard edged interpretation. But Dalton was not only underrated, but one of the very best too. He should have made more films into the early 1990's, had it not been for the contractual problems for MGM. A great shame, but what we have is two great cinematic roles that he participated in.
It's fascinating to look back his performance in his two movies, because its very similar to where we are with Daniel Craig in the role. Now everyone loves that interpretation of that character. It will be interesting to see where the character goes next.
Respect to Tim, a great actor and he did lend it his own thing and he fully committed. He was highly credible and in going to the source material he made it as true as he could. Fair play.
Everyone always gets the wrong impression by the fact he did 2 but he would have done 5 if he hadn't been hamstrung by writers strikes and mgm legal battles. He WAS bond for me. Kenneth brannagh would have been a superb bond too if he had been approached. But now, Michael fassbender for me would be a perfect successor to Daniel craig
@@Anthonycheesman2024 I've heard that budget restrictions were put on Licence to Kill as the producers were still paying off the intrest on the Moonraker overspend.
Exactly. Look at the budgets on all of Craigs films, 100 million dollars minimum spend. Think both of Dalton's were only 50 million combined budget of the two.
I can say yes, we were because coming off of and no disrespect to Roger Moore, but come on when you really got a think about it. His movies are like the MCU of marvel really guess what that went to but with Timothy Dalton he was a fan of James Bond he read the books, educated himself on the lore of what makes bond who he is and he delivered it. It’s just sad in the 80s that the viewers did not see what he was trying to do and he’s two movies to me are a real 💎 and I love them and I loved the ballot to those two movies. They were awesome too and it just made me sad when he walked away because at the end of the day he wasbond not Pierce Brosnan. and Daniel Craig give me a break. His was just stay paste post. Repeat in the way his character ended was horrible in my opinion, and very disrespectful to the lore of what bond was.
I think they all are great bonds, none isn't better, it's actually impossible say what is best bond, there isn't best exist, all are greats, goes fifty fifty.
I loved Timothy Dalton's interpretation as Bond. He brought a gritter and ruthless side to the character, and he was right to say half the world loved Sean Connery, and half the world loved Roger Moore as Bond. ❤❤❤❤❤
Yes he's a beautiful looking man, but for me its about the brain, he's intelligent, a thinker. There's introspection here too. His laughter, warmth. Authentic.
His mannerisms and gracious and style are so far removed from the way men behave now that if he were to appear in this state waliking in a median traffic would literally stop.
And I agree, and he didn’t even look like bond. He look like a glorified bouncer that is checking your ID in front of a strip club give me a break, and he’s not even that attractive when I saw him in casino royale I literally almost puked, and I almost left because that’s how disgusted I was in disrespected as a bond fan
This wasn't a good version of Bond. Terrible clothing and almost freaking out due to the stress at 1:02 followed by a fake laugh. That was essentially his take on Bond...
The most believable portrayal in my eyes, he just looks/seems like an intelligent soldier type who worked his way into the MI6.
That’s true . He is real and incredibly nice.

Me too ((👏))

Definitely agree. Even though License to Kill is very much a 1980s movie, Dalton's portrayal is timeless.
A gentlemen and a great bond.
Underrated, understated, one of the best bonds and the nearest to the original concept.
He brought back the ruthlessness to Bond. Total classy bad ass.
dalton deffinitly should done more then 2 bond films
He’s so cool and suave. One of my favorites

Did he remain single? I get it though. Sometimes it is better to just to marry if you can't find the right one.
The Best Bond of them ALL.
Love how technical he is in describing Bond. He really respect and loves Ian Fleming's vision. Oh this man....

He was absolutely gorgeous as Heathcliffe, such a gentleman.

Timoty very awesome bond

Besides all charismatic. He has a beautiful laughter

I wish his part of the interview went on forever 😃
He mentioned Robert Shaw in "From Russia with Love!" A man of good taste. I get the impression Timothy Dalton was a bit nervous being interviewed.
Gorgeous.
I think it was his Bond movies where the budget was cut, which if true, is a great shame as was a fabulous Bond and a really nice guy.
Rob Lambert If it was, it wasn't noticeable. They pulled off some of the best stunts and pyrotechnics committed to film in "LICENCE TO KILL".
Yea his bond movies looked cheap compared to the prior movies

Omg him as Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights!💕
According to the Lens Fleming James Bond book novels, he was dangerous, tenacious, dangeeilous, morbid and relentless.
Timothy was my favorite Bond
What a personality ❤
The best actor to play Bond. Under-rated actor full stop.
best bond my favorite he put the role of bond from fleming books in screen level part

He's 6'2".
I thought he was the best

There is a scene with him classify smoking a ciggie in the office in one of his Bond movies.
Жаль что нет перевод и не понимаем что он говорит он мой любимый актер всегда буду его любить
Я из- за него стала учить английский язык))
роскошный мужчина
He even looked as hard as nails on Wogan! A great Bond and such a missed opportunity he only made 2....plus a great ad for Lark cigs.

A Great Bond Only Done
Two Films, Shame He Didn't Do Others
Oh God… ❤
Лапочка , я его люблю!
Such a charming guy its a pity he got a bad wrap as Bond even I as a teen I didn't like him at the time but now I realise he was a great Bond .
Dalton is Bond! Dalton es Bond!
Well, when you read the novels, guess what he is the definition of the character in the books really
Only interviewed him for 6 minutes. .
And some people believe that Brosnan is the best Bond. 🤣🤣🤣
Yes he's a beautiful looking man, but for me its about the brain, he's intelligent, a thinker. There's introspection here too. His laughter, warmth. Authentic.
best bond
❤🎉😂😮😢😊
2 Bond movie with Tim D,,,,,
Its so charming how much he idolizes other Bond actors, it makes him all the more lovely!
His mannerisms and gracious and style are so far removed from the way men behave now that if he were to appear in this state waliking in a median traffic would literally stop.
The first Bond born after Second World War.
Talisa Soto and Robert Davi look not so upbeat.
It's looks very humbling to be considered to be a good james bond actor..... Very humbling..... nice experience....
Hes so much better than Daniel craig timothy dalton had that killer look of bond where Daniel craig thought I'm here 4 the money

It was the 80's.... Everyone had terrible clothing. That was the style.
In contrary, I love the 80s. So vibrant and full of creativity~!
Timothy Dalton was okay as Bond, but Don Knotts would have been much better casting for that role.
