I almost missed a pile of trash bags that contained not trash, but vintage treasure! Follow me on Instagram @paperandmoose #trashtotreasure #trashpicking #upcycle
Oleg Cassini - a very famous designer - whose designs were worn by Grace Kelly and Jackie Kennedy. I love all your finds - your trash bag videos are my favourite - everyone loves a surprise!
I honestly don't watch every clip when you are shopping but I really like these ! Your unbridled enthusiasm is great !! You are right about going to the door when you believe the occupants may have died . Cleaning out fathers stuff up was the hardest thing I have ever had to do .
Hi Renee. Your smile is so adorable. I love it when you are happy for trash day picking. The cute birdies, give them to Pam, she will love them too. Hope to see what teasures you have in the bags. God Bless you Renee. See you next time. Maria. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟✅
6:17 I don't know which I find more endearing- the fact that she's so excited to have that homemade craft chicken thing, or her inability to understand why others wouldn't be.
I love watching these videos! I’ve just never been so lucky with picking treasures! The best things I found were a pair of MCM bedside tables on my own street. I could only fit one at at a win my car, so I took one home & one to work. I gifted them to a coworker whose granddaughter was moving into her first apartment!
Oleg Cassini was a designer I recall from about the late 60's (?) thru the 70's I think. He made some really colorful clothes and designs from what I recall. My mom made all my doll clothes for...wait for it...My Revlon doll!! She was the competition to Barbie in the 50's and i must say a wonderful toy. Revlon dolls had more realistic body shapes and were very elegant. All those patterns fit the designer dolls back in the day. What a treasure trove...can't wait to see what appears next.
Yay! Trash bag house! I love these videos! The shirt on the bag at the start: Oleg Cassini was one of Jackie Kennedy's go-to designers. I'm looking forward to that bag reveal!
Exactly! The name sounded somewhat known to me and I googled him, he also worked for paramount picrures! @Renee yes, the elf (and Cassini) bag next pls!
Hooray!!! Oh Renee I'm so excited for you. You beam when you find a trash bag full of treasures. I sure hope there is more vintage holiday waiting for you. I think the thing that makes me enjoy these videos is your pure excitement to see what is hidden inside the bags. I also know what a financial help it is for you when it's pure profit. Looking forward to the other bags woo hoo!!!
I love the little knee elves ! I have some my step mother made for my brother and I . She’s gone now and I keep them out every year memories ya know ! It’s a shame whoever tossed those didn’t think of the memories tied to the making of the little elves
Thank you for being respectful to the families doing these clean outs. ❤️ Having to empty my parent’s home after our mother died was extremely painful. If someone had come to the door looking to take stuff I would have gone off on them. You are right in thinking it is not the time to approach the families. You just don’t know what head space they’re in.
Exactly. Not knowing the situation, I wouldn't feel right knocking on a door and barging in. Now if I would happen to run into the people while I'm out at the trash pile, I would just ask if they minded if I took their bags, that I enjoy all the things that they are throwing out, and reassure them that I won't make a mess. If at that time they would invite me in or tell me to come back another day for more, then I would.
I agree! Having just lost my father in law! I know we would have just stood there looking at you. (we are a polite group) However, we would have been willing to give you a chance to haul away all of the “garbage”.
What a great box! Love the bonnet. The lady that lived across the street when I was little wore bonnets like that when she was outside in the summer. What a wonderful time that was. Thanks for this video and the suspense for coming attractions.
I had to make costumes for my kids in fifth grade for their studies of settlers times ! We also stopped by Cades cove on our way to a vacation in FL . Pure serendipity ! They loved the Little House on the Prairie series !
My mother law used to see all the Barbie clothes and she did beautiful work . My sister-in-law is my age 69 and has all her dolls and clothes to this day
All of us followers love your excitement. Always makes me forget my sorrows for the time I am watching your videos. Trash bags ate my favorites!!!🙂 Blessings From Betty in Ohio.
The doll clothes have to be homemade because the box is homemade! The rocks could be like quartz crystals or something like that! Look into stuff like that! Just saying! Thanks for sharing your treasures! 🙋🏼♀️🇺🇸🙏🏻
This is the best type of video you make. I just love ❤️ it. The last video I watched I think yesterday I wished you could find more trash bags to go through. And guess what ?? You did!!!!!!!!! Can’t wait to see more. Thank you
Respectfully, if we lived in your township, I think my wife would leave bags of trash treasures on purpose. In the hopes of seeing the expression on you face. Thanks for bringing us along.
Miss Renee, right right and you're alright (even if you're missing your left glove). Thanks for saving the treasures from the trash. So love your enthusiasm.
Cooooool finds. Love your excitement. 😁 The Trash Bag Goddess was blessing you with yet another bounty. Love you Little Sprite. Your excitement and appreciation fill my heart . Thank You
Love your facial expressions when you are looking through the box. Great find and I hope you find more in the bags. Can't wait to see those videos. Great job Renee enjoy your treasure.😍😍😍
WoW, WoW WoW ....Love when you find these treasures!!! Oh, the suspense......oh, the patterns. Yes, doll clothing patterns can go for good prices. Can't wait for your next installment! ❣
Those are Fairy Stones. They have a story? I just can't remember it. I seen them on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. That was 50+ years ago. You'll have to do some research.
OK, OK...Time to fess up. The gloves? Umm...Been there/done that. It's been known to happen on this end where two of the same hand are present and a total of zero of the other hand are available which means ONE goes on backwards. Chin up! You're MOST DEFINITELY not alone in THAT department... 😇😁😜
Great! A trash bags mini series! The first treasures presented themselves already, the doll patterns and clothes and that red purse being my absolute favorites from this video. On to the next one now, the name Oleg Cassini got me so intrigued!!! Bravo Renee!!!💗💗💗
The tourist shops along Route 66 and such used to have basket of trinkets ( crosses and animals) made of rocks. Those roller skates, the Scottie dog photo album, the patterns, … okay, all of it was wonderful !!!
Woohoo! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 The rocks are found in North Carolina,I’m sorry but I can’t remember what they’re called, but that is their natural shapes. Ok, I looked them up, they’re called Fairy Stones or Fairy Crosses. ✌🏼❤️
I love this! Just watched a trash bag series you did 2 years ago which was awesome (nurse uniforms etc) they are so fun to watch and I am so happy you rescued all the items. It is sad that stuff that was so important to someone that it was saved is now just thrown out.
I believe that series was the "Original" trash bag house. Week after week, for over a month, maybe 2, that house provided me with so many bags of wonderful items. Sometimes when I drive by that house, I still hope that perhaps a bag or 2 would appear.
Many fun things today. I loved the Scottie dog album cover. So so cute! A lot of people collect old patterns especially since many of the large pattern companies are consolidating or quitting - it's not clear what's happening there. Lots of indie patterns companies popping up. Many of the new patterns are much simpler and easier for new sewers. This makes some of the older things desirable despite mostly smaller sizes. My local Goodwill was using old patterns to wrap breakables - to my horror as a lifelong seamstress. To my surprise, at this time in Europe clothing construction seems to be quite popular with young people (even though it's not cheaper to sew your own clothes as it was in the past. Quality fabric is expensive; there are still deals if you shop carefully). You often mention learning to sew - When I started sewing, I had a cheap machine which had endless problems. Many machines are okay with straight stitch, quitting cotton, and few layers but cannot sew fancier fabrics or have consistent stitch control. I finally was able to purchase a better machine that could better sew different fabric types and thicknesses greatly improving my success. Many great tutorials on TH-cam.
Someone was throwing out glass ware, I stopped and it was a retro mcm atomic martini pitcher with the metal insert to keep the liquid cold with engraved starburst on it. I even found the maker on line ;)
That looks like a grandma's house clean out. I'm old and save everything, my kids will probably do a toss out too. So they have told me. I have too much old stuff.
Thanks! ( It's a gallon of gas!!)
Thank you so much, that was so kind of you!
@@PaperandMoose You're Welcome. Helping to defray the cost of your trips to the new garbage bag house.
Love how excited you get. I can't wait,I want to see it now ! But I'll wait till next time.
Not quite,but almost 🙂
The wunder and excitement you show is very fun to watch. It's what keeps many of us watching.
There are no coincidences, there is always a connection for a reason.
I agree!
Trash bag reveals are my favorite! Your excitement is contagious.
Your excitement over finding these treasures is obvious and contagious! I'm so happy for you!

The footed vase is old Fenton. Back when they were using paper labels. You could probably sell it for $50

Ok, Renee. Surprise me. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
6:17 I don't know which I find more endearing- the fact that she's so excited to have that homemade craft chicken thing, or her inability to understand why others wouldn't be.
I have named those birds “The Trash Birds” ☺
The trash bags are a favorite! Its so exciting to see what goodies are hiding in the boxes and bags.
I love watching these videos! I’ve just never been so lucky with picking treasures! The best things I found were a pair of MCM bedside tables on my own street. My old Ginny doll had roller skates just like the one you found. Love the chick band! Oleg Cassini was a famous fashion designer of the 1960s.
The Elf had the same SMILE as you !! Oh Happy Day's ❤😊

Love your excitement! Oleg Cassini was a huge designer I believe in the 50’s & 60’s. He dressed Jackie Kennedy with his designs. Jackpot.
Love seeing all your great finds. Please show us the chick band altogether.

Finding the birds in your trash haul, made me think of the song , Tennessee Bird Walk 😂😂
I have been looking everywhere for old knee hugger elves! You find one in the trash! Woohoo!
That was a sheer surprise! I didn't see him when I peeked in the bag initially when it was at the house.
Renee your picking fairy godmother must have been sitting on your shoulder! That was fun!
I’m thankful that I noticed the older cardboard boxes, that’s what tipped me off!

Carved stones. They appear to be hand carved agate or maybe Jasper. They sell as tourist novelties in gift shops.

The band jacket . Totally awesome
Not sure or not. Maybe look into Fenton opalescent for the vase. Not sure at all but maybe a start to look. Great finds!
I have those doll patterns from when I was young in the 60s
What a fun box of goodies. To bad the dolls were not with the clothes.
It’s so exciting to watch You go through the trash good vines

Just would have to make sure to sprinkle in some "eye catching" items outside of the bags to make me look :0)
Wow!!! I'm so excited 🤗 another trash bag series 😄 I can't wait to see what treasures you'll discover 🥰

“Why did you throw it out? .. I mean, I’m glad you did ‘cause now I have it, but..” this statement made me giggle too hard
New trash bags! Great. Love all the different updo hairstyles, looks great.
One of the patterns was for baby doll pajamas. They were popular in the 60’s. This haul will be so much fun.
Rene, I think they are Fairy Crosses natural crystals from caves called Staurolite.
Love it when you go trash picking - please model the clothes !!!!! 🙂
Makes you respectful of others needs!
Great video. Your excitement is contagious. Looking forward to the next one. I love the doll clothes.
Hey Rene! That vase looks like Fenton. Great scores for free!! They are the best!! TFS Hugs!

That was a favorite too!
The trash bag videos r my fav!!! And your excitement and glee with wvery article is so much fun to watch.
I lost my mom a few months ago. So I really appreciate what you said about not barging in on people who are grieving.
Sorry to hear about your mom, I hope that the upcoming months bring you continued comfort and happy memories!
If there’s an Oleg Cassini piece there is likely more designer clothes! I’m giddy for the next video.
