Can you please tell me what that means? Do you think this would be sufficient for my vocals to rise over the noise of my guitar (separate amp) if I'm playing grunge, hard rock, metal, etc.? Really in need of a friend so if you see this please respond even if you don't have a lot of info
Hey man it's been like five years since you've made this video but I just found it today due to a auction listing for one of these (shopgoodwill or something like) thank you for the info and the demonstration if ozzy ever gets back out there and Zack isn't around you got my vote for runner-up guitarist LOL
@@guitarworm1714 Thank You so very much for the response!!! Also one more question and I promise i will not bother you anymore. How would tate it In terms of sound effect quality and equalizer?
Would it work for the DigiTech Band Trio Plus? I just purchased the DigiTech Band Trio Plus and it seems a lot of people recommend a mixer, PA or acoustic guitar amp for it.
How would you feel this way to work plane electric drums as a beginner? I am just looking for something where I don’t have to use the headphones at a decent price
You probably could, but I ve never used E drums. If u want to play with a band i would go bigger. If u just want to take off the headphones and play in your apartment, probably fine.
Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease I wouldn’t recommend it for vocals with a full band. It would be ok for some small acoustic gigs, but that’s about it.
If u want to play with a loud drummer on a regular basis I would go bigger. It really depends on your drummer and where your playing, but it's better to be safe than sorry and get some extra watts for a full band situation.
How's the bass response? I'm thinking to use this for electronic drum practice at home, hoping I can get a halfway decent kick drum from it and play some background music into it, just for practice in a bedroom. Sounds like it may be halfway OK but probably a bit lacking because the speakers themselves are small probably can't get those really deep bass thumbs right?
This video has legs! Q: If I buy 2 and connect them, does that then give me 4 channels (2 each?). Or does one just then model the other one, so still only 2 channels? Thanks!
I doubt you'll see this (or respond) but does anyone here know if this would work ok with grunge (Nirvana's earliest album Bleach, some of AiC's heavier stuff, Soundgarden, or just grunge in general) I have the guitar running through an amp and need a speaker for my vocals. Would this work? Or would the amp overpower it (amp is 20 watts and volume is at 2, and gain rarely goes above 6 or 7)
Hugo, thanks for watching. I am not sure if you mean with a drummer or not, so let me answer the best I can. I constantly use the speaker for vocals over top of my amp playing heavily distorted music such as nirvana. So if it’s just you in a basement you will be fine. This amp goes very loud. It would work well for acoustic gigs at small bars. Or electric guitars that are not insanely loud. But, If you are talking over top of a drummer, bass and guitars, then I would say no. Be too much of a struggle in a heavy band situation.
@@guitarworm1714 ok this should work just fine YESSSSSSS!!!!! Just for future reference do you think a bassist and a guitarist could jam out and this still cover the vocal end well enough?
@@guitarworm1714 THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH FOR THE HELP, should I get one? For 90 bucks and just starting out vocals is it a good deal? I really need a speaker and I'm not gonna pay over 100 bucks (without taxes)
Hugo Stiglitz I ve probably owned mine 5 years now and I am very happy with it. It will do what you are after, plus it’s great for music at parties. I don’t have much to compare it with in the price range, but I am completely satisfied with mine and would buy another. Go for it!
That would be a gold mine if it exists. Pretty challenging to find because speakers that can move that much air have to be large and powerful, so usually that means expensive. If you compromise on features a bit you may find something else like this, but just a bit bigger. I would think if you want to be heard over a drummer bare minimum 2x12" speakers or a 15" or a 4x10" setup is usually about right. Sometimes you get more mileage from quieting down the drummer with some acoustic padding or an isolator wall. Thick carpeting is important and catching all that bass usually means use plenty of wall padding below your waist level.
From 6 years later... THANK YOU! and best wishes.
I have had this pa for close to 10 years and they are still working properly and strong with clear tone. I only wish it had a reverb
The term "Bedroom warrior" sold this for me
Ha ha, glad you liked that. Thanks for watching.

I use the kustom pa 50 a Lot almost everyday and use them on mid size dj gig work really good great video good work.!!!!
@antoni cruzjr I am glad the Kustom is working out for you too. Thanks for the comment and watching the video.
Really suoerb tone !!.👌
Thanks for watching !
i watched for the PA review but i really enjoyed hearing you play!
Thank you so much! That is very kind.
I'm a keyboardist/synthesist and this sounds really good just playing around with methods at home when I don't want to hook up to the monitors.
I SSMDad thanks for letting me know and thanks for watching at home.

Hey glad you liked the video. And Still using my custom PA, one of the best pieces of equipment I ever bought. And thanks for the vote! Lol
Great sound !!. What will be the cost sir ?. Can I by from Guitar Center ?
can i use this for a multi effect guitar pedal with a trs xlr cable.?
How do I connect a Kustom floor monitor (50w) to this speaker. I’ve had my Kustom PA for about 6 years and it’s still going strong.
Good morning!!! Question please, do you think this will be good for playing at home with powerful Korg and Yamaha keyboard?
Good Morning. I do not have any keyboard expeirance, but i am guessing it would work very well.
@@guitarworm1714 Thank You so very much for the response!!! Also one more question and I promise i will not bother you anymore. How would tate it In terms of sound effect quality and equalizer?
Did you have the chance to try it with you keyboard since ? I'm considering buying a second hand kustom PA for my old Yamaha CP30. Thanks
Just bought one to use as a personal monitor for me when playing guitar live with a full band. Think it'll do the job?
Maybe 2 of them.
Can I use for mendolin sir ?
Would it work for the DigiTech Band Trio Plus? I just purchased the DigiTech Band Trio Plus and it seems a lot of people recommend a mixer, PA or acoustic guitar amp for it.
I haven’t used that particular pedal, but yes you could absolutely run it through this PA to pump out the sound.

You probably could, but I ve never used E drums. If u want to play with a band i would go bigger. If u just want to take off the headphones and play in your apartment, probably fine.
How would this work with an amp modeler?
HeadRush Gigboard here, use at home for practice, sounds fantastic. Louder than you think.
A $99 amp with others is ok and you changed the sound on Ur guitar playing is pretty good
what if im in a full band (punk) and i play small clubs but i just use it for the vocal mic
Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease I wouldn’t recommend it for vocals with a full band. It would be ok for some small acoustic gigs, but that’s about it.
it wouldnt be loud enough or woudnt sound good? (as in which one)
You didn't mention the two xlr in/out Jack's. And that other 1/4" jack.
If I get two of these would they overpower rock drums?
If u want to play with a loud drummer on a regular basis I would go bigger. It really depends on your drummer and where your playing, but it's better to be safe than sorry and get some extra watts for a full band situation.

For sure, the smaller speakers wouldn't be ideal for bass.
How loud?
Is your mic clipping?
I just ordered it because its in my range and im using it for practice with my hard rock band. Will it be loud enough to hear over my drummer?
Probably need 2 of them from what I've seen, I don't own one though. Just from reviews though
This video has legs! Q: If I buy 2 and connect them, does that then give me 4 channels (2 each?). Or does one just then model the other one, so still only 2 channels? Thanks!

Thanks! Do you think if an acoustic bass would work?
Thanks for the question. I honestly don't know because the bass is a different animal.
@@guitarworm1714 ok. Thank you!
Are these self powered?
Plug in the wall
Would this be good for practicing drums along with records? Is there at least a little bass?
It has a subwoofer output. See this one on Amazon> Powerwerks PA System (PW50)
I want to busk with this . Does this run off batteries ? Thanks !!!
No batteries in this model. It must be plugged in. Thanks for the sub!
do you know of any not super expensive PA systems that would overpower drummers?
Ever find any?
Alto ts315

Mines got a lot of static in it. And I’ve never dropped it. Had right at a Year.
Make sure you plug directly into wall outlet or an reliable extension cord. I notice crazy hum when i plug into a power strip.
Between that and a pignose, you could surely heat up a room. 😀
Does this PA system have phantom power? If not , how can you put a condensor mic through this?
Cleveland Fleaharmonics Yes it has phantom power
Great question. If you drum as loud as my drummer, I would go bigger just to be safe.
You think this is loud enough to practice metalcore style vocals?
Loud enough if it’s just you and a guitar, but I would not recommend it for vocals over top of a full metal band.
@@guitarworm1714 not with a band, just singing/screaming over top of an mp3
@@c0pyimitati0n yep it will be good for that.
Noooooo! Don´t do Metalcore. Do real music!
Can I have this for party please
