Bonsoir à tous les deux, cela fait plaisir de vous revoir! De la bonne nourriture, des bons produits, de bons vins (j'habite le sud ouest de la France et j'apprécie ce nectar, évidemment, of course!). De belles rencontres, de beaux paysages, ceux façonnés par des générations de vignerons réjouissent la vue avant de réjouir les papilles. Après une telle dégustation de vin, un retour en train, s'imposait!!!

Hello! I just found you two on TH-cam and love what you have done. My husband and I are considering a move overseas too. Not sure about where but it seems a bit easier in Portugal than most places. We were in Portland Maine last fall and loved it and so in comparing Porto to that, how did you ever decide on Porto? We are checking into Portugal and retirement age now. Husband will still work but if the right opp presents, we would move sooner. Had been looking at Italy but oh my goodness. He is a musican and wants to play and I am a visual artist mostly figurative and I want to paint and sell and maybe teach. Looking at a cultural area of course with lots of food options etc. saw that you were also in Viana do Casillo. Too Small? what about Braga and Coimbra ? He still wants to drive. I am ok with public but would need a way to transport my art around .. This is alot but I am following your channel . Thanks !

Nice video. Thank you. Did you book the boat ride in advance or just buy the ticket when you got there? IS there only one boat tour and is it obvious from the train station?
There are several boat tour options. We booked online ahead of time. Our boat loaded by the bridge right in front of the Vintage House Hotel. The train station is right in the middle of town so pretty easy. Download our Pinhão Trip document for more details. Have fun!

Hey guys! Came across your video as i was searching for resources on planning the Duoro Valley Day Trip on my own....in fact, was debating doing it DIY or with a group tour from Porto! Your video has helped me decide!! So thank you both. I am traveling with my 77 year old mum & a 54 year old cousin sis, both of who have weak knees, so i too want to keep it easy and convenient. I was wondering if Quinta de Foz had vineyards we could walk in, as advertised by Qunita de Bomfin and others. Ill write to them anyway! Thanks again, just had to communicate with you both ❤

I don't believe Quinta de Foz has vineyards to meander through and I will say that it is rather steep along the river vineyards so it might be a bit challenging on the knees. But sitting and tasting some great wine will be easy enough for sure. Keep us up to day on you schedule. Here's to adventure.

Great video guys. I went there in 2017 on a day tour not by train. It was a wonderful experience. I didnt get to see much of Pinhao unfortunately. I'd like to see the train station. The schedule was packed. I should go back sometime. Dry wine is my favourite. I visited a winery called Quinta de Santa Eufemia. It's high up in the valley you get spectacular views. Check out their website i can highly recommend it.
