I'm the same way with the ear cups James. I thought I could stand touching slightly, then got ear pain after like ten minutes lol. Total no go, gotta have the deep cups for sure. Thankfully Sennheiser is good about that, as is some cheaper companies

I do like how thoughtful these headphones are in *most* areas, different color insides for left respective right ear cups, different shaped buttons, etc. That feels pretty forgotten today so I'm glad that there is still someone doing it. Though I hope that a gen 2 will fix that awful mic and let it connect via wifi to other Sonos devices and all those other little things that definitely need work
A lot of complaints about electrostatic noises in the right earcup. I have used 3 units now and all of them are faulty. No reviewer is talking about it.
Sonos has to be one of the most garbage audio companies out there. We have a Sonos One at work, a 300$ wireless speaker. It does not support bluetooth. You cant use it on a Windows machine for TH-cam or movie audio. You need to use an app to link with spotify (and youtube music iirc). It feels like a Juicero product that by pure luck didnt result in bankruptcy. It's a joke how they can charge so much money, and speaking frankly, I've heard speakers that cost 1/3 have better audio.
I would have liked to know what the FR was w/ ANC off. I imagine sonos would have had much more internal testing to reach an objective target better than that. That FR was pretty bad....

Sonos basically made the speaker with local music useless for a redesign of an app no one ask for and to ad in some overprice headphone with a niche usecase. Luckily I could role back the update on an Android tablet but on iOS I`m stuck with the crappy app. I never buy anything from Sonos again.

Another pair of headphones that you will have to throw away when the battery dies. Not having an audio jack on it, this should be illegal. I know these are "bluetooth" wireless, whatever headphones... But what do you do when you want to use them with 0 latency on other device that doesn't have bluetooth? Cable is still king for some aplications. They could do that, but they don't want to... The just want you to buy a new one when this stops working.

Well, just returned mine. To be honest I was very disappointed. Bass is lacking in a huge way and when paired with the ARC - volume at the highest setting is way way too low. ANC average at best, Transparency decent. I compared these side by side to Bose quiet comfort plus, Beats Studio pro and AirPods Max. My ranking - 1. Apple 2. Bose 3. Beats 4. Sonos.
Got it yesterday and these are the most comfortable over-ear headphones I've ever owned. The main issues that I've had with my AirPods Max is the way the ear cup material feels on my ear/skin and after 15-20 minutes, my head feels like its being squeezed, plus the good looking designed mesh net over the head doesn't support well. I don't need the best sounding headphones but the most comfortable will do!
Compelling hardware, but that mic is absolutely awful. I rarely take calls with my earpiece opting for my pixel buds pro just because the clear calling is so good, so kind of a deal breaker.

Did you watch the video fully? They showed off the sound curve and he mentioned that if you like bass heavy then this is your go to. They showed off the quality of the mic as well. They weren't able to just outright bash the mic quality, but most people could tell that it's a very poor mic. It is scummy that they weren't able to show the battery test results, however. It would definitely be a lot better if they were able to fully show all of the negatives, but they still attempted to do their best without pissing Sonos off. I think they did a pretty good job at telling us that it's bass heavy and had a poor mic.

these headphones look exactly like my Bowers and Wilkins PX8 without the beigh and silver. I was gonna exchange the PX8 for the Sonos since I have a full 7.1.2 sonos system in my house, but the sound stage on the PX8s are ridiculous for the price I paid for them.
Got my Ace yesterday to replace my Bose QC2’s, absolutely love them. Set up was easy, tried them as pass through from my ARC watching the opening sequence of Top Gun Maverick on 4K Blu-ray Atmos and i was impressed! The only disappointment is the case, I think that could have been better. I am sure that 3rd party alternatives will be available soon. Maybe they would fit in cases designed for AirPod Pro Max as the form factor looks similar? All i want from Sonos now is the ability to add front left and right speakers to my Arc, Era 300’s and sub and my life would be complete…….
Sponsored videso are just bad on reviews. Compare them to the xm5 which cost half the price and the sonos get destroyed. Bad app eq settings. Horrible mic and the sound for the price is ok. For 500€. Nah this is almost apple pricing.

these headphones look exactly like my Bowers and Wilkins PX8 without the beigh and silver. I was gonna exchange the PX8 for the Sonos since I have a full 7.1.2 sonos system in my house, but the sound stage on the PX8s are ridiculous for the price I paid for them.

Got my Ace yesterday to replace my Bose QC2’s, absolutely love them. Set up was easy, tried them as pass through from my ARC watching the opening sequence of Top Gun Maverick on 4K Blu-ray Atmos and i was impressed!
The only disappointment is the case, I think that could have been better. I am sure that 3rd party alternatives will be available soon. Maybe they would fit in cases designed for AirPod Pro Max as the form factor looks similar?
All i want from Sonos now is the ability to add front left and right speakers to my Arc, Era 300’s and sub and my life would be complete…….

Sponsored videso are just bad on reviews. Compare them to the xm5 which cost half the price and the sonos get destroyed. Bad app eq settings. Horrible mic and the sound for the price is ok. For 500€. Nah this is almost apple pricing.
Mic does not sound good to me with strong ambient noise. I get mine tomorrow but if the mic sounds that bad I will return it.
