Works if your computer has enough memory to hold what you're trying to move. Mine dont. Got 15gb of crap im trying to move from a 16gb sd to a 68gb sd. About to pull my damn hair out

I have been downloading quite some time from the TH-cam music app on my Android phone and recently got a larger storage microSD card. Would I still be able to transfer all of those music files and videos to my desktop even though they might be blocked by TH-cam?

Can you do this with an sd card used in a samsung galaxy for extra storage? By taking out the old sd card, transferring to computer then onto the new upgraded sd card? With no problems caused by taking it out of the phone? or could i just tranfer it directly from the phone to the new sd card? I have all the correct ports in my laptop.

So I’m trying to transfer photos and videos from one sd card to another, and I followed the steps, and it did not work, just when I think that the data is on the brand new sd card, it’s not, because once I have moved it, I take it out of my computer, and put it in my camera, and I go to the cameras gallery, and it says there are no photos and videos, no data, but when I go to put the sd card back into my computer, I go to “my computer,” and click on the sd card file, and all the photos and videos are on there, but it’s when I take out the sd card, and put it in another device, like my camera, and its as if I didn’t follow theses steps to transferring the data from my old sd card to this new one. There’s a message that pops up saying that the sd card is corrupted, and needs to be formatted, but the sd card is brand new, and is not corrupted, but I tried formatting it anyway, and it still didn’t work. Please help.

I've tried this several ways, Switching SD cards in the phone and Loading files on to the computer as you did. But either way, the phone or the computer wants to format the SD card first, and I can't do that if I want to keep those files. Your computer didn't request the formating. Any suggestions?
Hi buddy. When put my sd card into my laptop using the USB reader it says format sd card. Will this delete all my data because obviously I don't want that to happen
Formatting will wipe it. Mounting it makes it readable to device.

Yeah I copied my contents from one micro SD card to my laptop, using a micro SD card adapter, and then tried copying that data to another microSD card plugged into the adapter but once I ejected The adapter all my pictures from the camera folder disappeared. I don't know how you show this being so easy but it does not work like that. Maybe because my micro SD card is formatted in exFat but it did not work like yours did. I'm thinking I'm going to have to clone it.

You need an SD Card reader. Make sure the connector fits your phone i.e- micro usb/ USB c 3, etc. There are videos here on Y.tube.😉
You should install some type of back up app like Google cloud app or similar.

Sadly this doesn't work at all when you have thousends of datas on your old sd card like me. I failed to drag and drop all of my photos and Videos from my old 256gb card to my new 512gb card. I tried everything, even installed programms that should have helped me but they destroyed my new card. There is absolutely no way for me to transfer my data (over 100gb) onto my bigger sd card 😞
The SD card that you're removing the information to the new SD card with that SD card will lose that information
