"I've seen a gradual move to people being seriously fraudulent..." Yes, particularly in a rock context because pop music has always been that way since the 1950s. That's why rock bands like Nirvana etc took the piss out of mimed TV shows like Top of the Pops (interestingly, pop stars never did this). Ken Tamplin's cousin Sammy Hagar is one example of a rock vocalist who retains his integrity by singing live DESPITE his flaws. At 76, he SHOULD have flaws and thankfully, he has been transparent about them too. As such, he will go down as one of the greats, legacy untarnished.
For me, that's your legacy, because you helped me a lot and not only with singing but also with confidence (because that's my biggest problem), so thank you forever for that 💫🤙🏻
Hi Ruth, thank you for that, but YOU put in the work/effort/risk to put yourself out there, and it's paying off... (it USED to be your biggest problem!) Well done - very proud of you! 😊🙏🤘💕
In the almost 30 years I've been playing guitar, almost 20 years learning to sing, I've only written 1 song with my own guitar and voice and words. I dislike auto tune very much, with a passion, I have worked very hard for the gear I have and taking vocal lessons for about a year . I still have so so much to learn and I know someday I'll get where I wanna be but I know it takes time. I would feel ashamed to have Ai write me a song just like how I feel about auto tune😂 just acoustic guitar with vocals as raw as it gets, just the way I like it😊 great stuff Jim ❤
@@RockYourBestVocals I agree, for the longest time I wanted everything to be perfect and it'll never be perfect, as long as it's fun that's all that matters
Yeah... a human voice will never be perfect, but unfortunately that has become the expectation. Everyone thinks that singers should be pitch perfect. But in reality, a good singer is close, but never perfect. Very few are really that good. Those are superstars. Thanks for RVT, Jim! Now, I have never been "closer" than I am now.
Indeed Jason! Music is art, and is better with imperfection... Save perfection for building bridges, and brain surgery! You're doing great Jason, and putting the work in - can't wait to see more videos of your RVT success!
Steven Tyler is one of the only guys with any dignity left. He lost his ability to sing and said that's it, we're done, right in the middle of a tour. Now look at KISS who kept dragging it out for 4 more years and just had Paul lip sync the entire show, after spending years ripping on everyone else for lip syncing

That's so true , there is no quick fix for anything in life. May the universe bless you Jim! 🌟🙏🏻
Thanks Evelyne - you too! 🤘😎🤘

Indeed, we never stop learning... the important (and hardest) part, is to put yourself out there BEFORE you 'think' you are 'good enough' 😊👍
