It’s an interesting perspective. A lot of singers pass large amount of resonance into the nasal pharynx and create buzz using the soft pallatte. Ian Anderson for example. Some guys sing really covered, Michael MacDonald. They are all just roles to be played. Somewhere must be the line beyond which we can talk about certainty of vocal damage? A lot so,studies show that “twang” which comes from narrowing the arepiglottic sphincter and opening up the nasal pharynx produces the most volume for the least amount of energy. In physics circles we call that resonance, the amplifying of sound through a build up of energy in a space tune to amplify certain frequency bands. Without a sympathetic shape, no vowel can be resonant.
I don't know for certain Jim but this makes total sense of you also use vowel modification, like.. whaaaaats going aannn !! Just a little variation in the way the words are said will help immensely 😊 I'm always learning new things as well it's just a matter of trying them out lol
@RockYourBestVocals thanks Jim, I just learned this whole vowel thing the last few weeks, haven't been able to practice it much but it helps so much, and everyone's voice is different like you said, such good information dude 🤘
@@RockYourBestVocals Thank you Jim! I'm busy keeping busy. You know how it is - good days and not so good days. I'm always working on myself applying what you taught me, picking myself up on the bad days. And paying it forward whenever I can. Love and gratitude and all the good vibes to you! 🙏🏻😘

Great tips on using the yawning technique to improve vocal control! Thanks for sharing your insights, Jim!
Glad it was helpful!
Great stuff, thanks man.
My pleasure!

Even a man who refuses to learn anything, gets taught a lesson...often over and over...and one big one when they are dying.
Great explanations and demonstration, thank you Jim! The fake yawning trick/hack always makes me yawn for real 🤣🤣 Brains are weird
Thank you Evelyne! YES Brains are weird! 😂 Hope you’re keeping well, and still Bulletproof! Love seeing your covers on YT 🤘🏼😎😘
