I was a classically trained singer, opera and such, myself, which led to a rewarding 29 year career as a truck driver. Anway, have you ever heard someone's speaking voice and know there is a singer in there? I strongly feel anyone who has a sense of tune can be a good singer with their own unique voice if encouraged.

More money in truck driving I'm sure anyway! I've heard great speaking voices that can't sing, and I've also heard speaking voices that surprised me when singing... I personally don't believe there is enough of a correlation, but who knows

Hey Jim 👋 couple questions.. if I wanna sing about a girl( nirvana) when he sings I need an EASY FRIEND , on Easy friend do I want to be in mixed placement?? Like how your placement is middle of this video? I'm getting really close to finding this but it's not quite there yet. I know the grit he's using is not lower so it's gotta be higher right?? Could you possibly do a video on about a girl?? If not I understand, and this video is very helpful BTW 🤘🤘

Placement for me is very ‘forward and nasal’ on “easy friend”… it’s the support/compression that will give it some ‘chesty’ power and thickness

@RockYourBestVocals awesome Jim thanks, that sounds about right lol, dam you Kurt for having such a hard voice to follow 😄 the Easy line is hard I think because you can't get a hard onset with E so I suppose AAASAAAYYY ?? Would be better 🤔 I'll try working on it and let you know. Thanks buddy 🤘
