- I head back on the Weald Way to do the second part of the Kent Coast to Coast Hike. This time I take Xiwang on his first long hike and attempt to walk from Borough Green to Tonbridge. It was tough getting the trains to get back on the trail and where will I end up on this hike will I be able to figure a way to get back home?
It's so wonderful that you can hop on public transit with your dog. That makes for a million adventure possibilities! And I loved the welcome home ending 😍
Thanks Robin yes it’s great the trains allow him on. He was a bit nervous as it was first time but he’ll get used to it. I’m so thankful we also have unlimited opportunities for walking public footpaths in uk it really is amazing and should be celebrated
Thanks for watching till the end the dog gets more attention than me now 😆
Lovely relaxing to watch day trip 😎❤️ 🇬🇧👍
Thanks Dad 😄❤️🇬🇧
The country side never disappoints! Even in February I see lovely green in the fields! Go little Xiwang, go!🥰
It should get greener over next few weeks as spring arrives Jeannette
Nice video Richard. A peaceful walk with your pup. Bless you both.
Thanks and Yes Vince it’s always fun getting out even for a short time
Beautiful trip great to see you and pup again. Enjoy your trip
Very beautiful views ! It looks awesome where you are! Great 👍 video brother! God bless
Thank you it’s a bit grey this time of year but still good to see some open views
Enjoyable instalment Richard! Good idea carrying dog in the mud!
Thanks Ben added to my base weight training 👍
Gorgeous scenery
I walked the other way, EB to Tonbridge. I had always intended to finish the walk, but we moved to Lincolnshire. We now, 7yrs later, are moving back to Sussex, so with any luck I'll have time to carry on walking.
Ay up me owd cocka.
Another lovely walk with a great companion 🙂👍
Thanks 👍
I love your sweet dog we use to have a bichon frisée and they can get filthy in the mud .
White shows the dirt but in one way makes easier to clean later
He's adorable
Thank you
@@DayTripperAdventures i meant the dog of course 😂😂😂😂
Thank goodness for that 😆👍
I am pleased you took up my recommendation to walk The Weald Way
Thanks Roger for the tip I will mention you on next episode of this walk if ok for you
@@DayTripperAdventures yes that is great. Love following your walks. Have a look at the Greensand Way Hazlemere in Surrey to Hamstreet Kent 108 miles
Thanks Roger I have done parts of that. I find it can be difficult to do unless there are two of you with cars each end
informative as ever.....keep em coming Richard
Thanks Geoff I think you’ll enjoy the next one
special guest? he's the star!
Always 👍
love your videos. Very relaxing to watch
Thank you
Am I right in thinking it’s three train from Gravesend to Platt?
A friend and I are starting the walk on Thursday, I was thinking of driving to Vigo Village and getting the 306 bus back to Gravesend and walking back to the car.
The train sounds a bit of a palaver or was straight forward?
Great video by the way.
👍
The next section Tonbridge to Ashurst is a good walk apart from a really dodgy 1.5 miles along the main road to Ashurst stn, really have to keep your wits about you as there's nothing to walk on but the side of the road & lots of blind corners! Doing Ashurst to Buxted next week.
Thanks Andrew I’ve not had chance to get back on this trail I’m finding access difficult with no public transport between sections
@@DayTripperAdventures Have managed it ok so far using trains, the Ashurst to Buxted section starts and finishes at stations on the same route so should be ok. Its the next few sections to Eastbourne which are more difficult as there's hardly any connecting train routes.
You got a new Day Tripper hat. 🇬🇧 🧢
Yes I keep losing them Kevin
You just walked past a clients house I work at in Platt.
I need to chat with you about that. Remind me 😉👍🏼
You need to take my dog, she’ll drag you along 😁
That’s weird Tim but in some ways does n’t surprise me as you’ve been around a while now and probably decorated most of the houses in Kent 😆
@@DayTripperAdventures I’ve been working on that house since 1989. Through two owners.
Definitely need to chat with you about something near there 😉👍🏼
I look forward to hearing about it soon
