@@christianweibrecht6555 it can be used by shooting the enemies that breaches through the gate. Other that that...
Just order them to drop their cannons and fight on melee.
@@christianweibrecht6555 If you deploy your cannon right in the gate it can be pushed out and used to target enemy towers. Then as you fight for the wall it gives you time to move it back to the capture point and use it in the city defense.
Isn't there a mod? I mean skaven gun teams since the latest dlc cant go on walls either which is dumb af and unlogical, I assume the same counts for cannons. At least for the skaven there is a mod though

The elf was lucky the beer didn't spill on the dwarf's beard. Otherwise the dwarf would have become a slayer with the sole purpose of annihilating the elf and all his extended family.

Give her the Descarte it’s not that Joseph Bugman did anything wrong, it’s that Git Guzzler destroyed his brewery which provided ale to the High King. So the grudge is not against Buggsy but it’s against those who wronged him

I remember my greatest battle as the Dwarves. It wasn't the largest in scale, in fact it was quite small. Turn 27 or so. I had already formed a confederation with two other Dwarven clans. There was a small town bordering the Greenskins' wretched badlands. This town was small, with a garrison of about 3 miners, 3 quarrelers, and one Dwarf warrior. Two armies of weakened greenskins had returned from one of their waghs. As they passed by they layed siege to this town via the underway. Their was no way to hold on for reinforcements. The battle ended in a close defeat. For me. On that day I learned vengeance, grudges, and the power of dwarven infantry. The nearby army I had nearby guarding against the badlands layed waste to every last greenskin in those two armies. That day I taught them what happens when one of their wretched kind walks my lands. On that day I became a true dwarf

That reminds me of the glory of Alrik Getgold, who rose from an obscure random general in my army to being one of my top generals. He was attacked by Grimgor after a more formidable army had rebuffed them, so it was fairly weakened. However, it was still full of high XP dangerous units and, of course, Grimgor. I couldn't retreat any further and was forced to fight. I picked a fine hill and held my dwarf throng against Arachnaroks, Big 'Uns, Boar Riders, and Trolls with nothing but Dwarf Warriors, Miners, and Quarrelers. Thrice my line buckled and thrice Alrik retreated (with increasingly small slivers of health), but thrice did he return to the fray and rally the line! He was certainly not yet content with the spoils of gold that he had amassed in battle, so he had to return to the urki-dreng. At last he smote the mighty Grimgor and sent his broken horde reeling. The day was only just won, but the prizes were great and the dwarf holds were safe. This was in a co-op campaign with my brother so we were going fucking wild cheering Alrik on as he smashed into the orcs time after time with his rallied kinsmen. 'Twas a great day!
Caden Dugger This reminds me of a great general I once had (Whilst unfortunately not a dawi but an Umgi empire general, but unfortunately his name is forgotten as I lost the save file for that campaign) who fought from Reikland against the roaming, frothing packs of beastmen and the savage and numerous orks, to syvainia where he fought vampires, ghouls and necromancers and even to Kislev in desperate fights against the foul warbands of chaos and their lackeys, but the most important thing about this general is that in all these battles he killed the enemy general in single combat, multiple ork warbosses, beastmen (whatever the name of their leaders where), he personally wiped out the Von carsteins and scores of necromancers and 'slightly' more intelligent ghouls, even the horrors of chaos fell to his blade, at most points all his army was for was to keep the enemy army preoccupied until he turned the enemy general into ribbons, I'm legitimately irritated that I have lost his name and that (at the time) I couldn't promote him to Emperor.

Smiling Dooku Josef Bugman was the brewmaster responsible for making Bugman's XXXXXX Brew. While he was out making a delivery some craven Grobi (Goblins) lead by Git Guzzler killed his family, burned his village and brewery, and drank all his beer. On that day the Dawi swore a solemn grudge, and Josef Bugman went from a jolly brewmaster to a pissed off Dwarven hero that used guerrilla tactics like no Dwarf ever before. That guy really hates Goblins. He used to be AMAZING in the tabletop.
It's basically the warhammer goblin slayer XD but much stronger and cooler

Not in any meaningful sense. The AoS continuity is really a completely different one with a few names tagged on to make sense of using popular branding on a new product. A reasonably clever marketing move, but there's almost no tonal or narrative similarity.

TAKE ALL OF MY MONEY, EVERY LAST PENNY FOR THIS GAME.
To the most annoyingly hard to destroy race with both numbers and value to back it.
I would know, after having my greatest battle with them as of yet as Vlad von Castein, it was at the edge of the Badlands, I've claimed the capital of the Eastern Border Princes and named it "Akensoul the Dark Gate", for it was the most fortified bastion against any southern horde and the only thing stopping the Dwarves from pouring in. I had Isabella, she and her fully stacked 20 army were on defense there, in an ambush that were soon discovered by the 3 Dwarven armies, 2 of which are weaker and more of a support of either artillery or heroes, but 1 was led by the High King himself and is stacked full with the best the Dawi had to offer. An epic battle took place, one which I valiantly lost even with the reinforcements from Akensoul, but nonetheless caused the near destruction of 2 armies and 50% casualties to the High King's own, I even managed to slay him with a Terrorgeist. After the battle, the Dead Rose once more, and Isabella found no trouble killing the remaining survivors, and adding to the 1022 casualties of the Battle of Akensoul the Dark Gate.
Did I mention how they managed to reproduce their armies so quickly? Once you slay their horde, another appears.
I believe that was our first look at a dwarf castle siege... badass with cannons all over the multiple walls in the cave
Everyone thinks Dwarves are funny until you realize each one is 300lbs of meat and steel with a burning hatred of you in particular.
Warhammer Fantasy + Total War = Calling in sick from work or school for a whole month or 2 just to play the hell outta this potential epic masterpiece :)

LOTR has weak dwarves imo, especially the ones represented in the actual book. The legendary ones from Silmarillion are pretty cool. Now Warhammer has the best dawi by really far
@@RRRRRRRRR33 In lotr dwarves are barely mentioned, but they are still the same lineage from the silmarillion. From what I've seen warhammer actually was greatly inspired by dwarves from the middle earth universe, to the point of almost copying Tolkien's stuff in many places
@@sirkarliyedidia7872 Newsflash, Tolkien basically copied the germanic/saxon folklore. Even the names are the same, like "Gandalf". Creatures that looked like his creation, like the hobbits, they were also copies (the originals were just called halflings). So, this branch of high fantasy is basically a revival of old folklore, there is no such thing as someone else copying others and so on... It's all the same crap. Elves, dwarfs, haflings, the evil fire spirit (because, guess what, the burning of forests affected their way of life). I used to believe on the common knowledge that Tolkien was this genius writers who created entirely new creatures and worlds... but not really, he just "adapted" lots of stuff
@@RRRRRRRRR33 Yes, but his adaptions are widely used. He adapted Dwarves from older folklore, and Warhammer adapted from Tolkien's Dwarves. But Tolkien really made bounds when he adapted from folklore, where Dwarves were evil creatures that were more gnome-like (as far as I understand). All I'm saying is that the difference between Tolkien's Dwarves and Warhammer's Dwarfs is much smaller than Tolkien's Dwarves and germanic folklore.

If the theme is corruption, flawed personalities that can be influenced by "evil"... then the logical approach was for the dwarves to become wraiths as well (even with their stubbornness). If I'm not mistaken, the dwarves were created by a evil entity, they were supposed to be evil all along (another straight copy from folklore), but they "redeemed" themselves later. But I assume the dwarfs didn't showed up again, neither became malignant threats... simply because the editors advised Tolkien to limit the dwarfs participation in LOTR, they already had too much screen time (in a way) in the Hobbit. Maybe the general public disliked them, idk... the fact is, dwarves were basically butchered in LOTR for whatever reason, which is a shame. Now in Warhammer, they played a significant role at least... and they were removed from the sci-fi variant (40k). So dwarves doesn't seem to be as popular as we think

MaxterandKiwiKing The runes are based off of norse runes, but that is because most pieces of Tolkien lore is based off of norse. The Dwarves themselves are based off of the Jews, and Tolkien even said he wanted to make a good representation of the Jewish people. That’s why he made Dwarves.
